At the end of the day the 2015 Exos-9 Portable Bluetooth Speaker by Aiwa may have begun to show its age but there’s no doubt that it’s still an impressive product worth our Golden Award.

My only little grip is it would be nice to have a volume indicator next to the battery level indicator, but it's not a problem and dose not take anything away from this speakers outstanding performance. Moving it to the backyard is easy but if the speaker needs to be carried over a longer distance, the handle’s design may cause you to have to grip tighter, putting undo strain on hand muscles. This would definitely improve the sound of the Aiwa Exos 9 without needing to add your own mid-side processing via the use of DSP. This is one of the best bluetooth speakers available, it has a full sound and battery life is great. I have owned a selection of portable speakers in the past even a large PA party unit and none came even close to what the EXOS 9 sounds like!The Exos 9 brings its own unique approach to the table with a design that isn’t going to satisfy everyone’s tastes, and we have to appreciate the risk that Aiwa took with the Exos 9 design, opting for something out of the box, rather than relying on the traditional design style found in most party speakers.

Your car’s stereo might be loud in a car, but once inside a large room or even outside, it’s not that loud. The midrange is clearly not a central point to the sound, as it doesn’t have the texture, or detail that you’ll probably want from a speaker, but it pairs beautifully with the bass, and provides a loud, clear, and hard-hitting overall experience.This being said, inside the package you will find the cables necessary to use the speaker, including an AUX cord, which will come in really useful, if you will be listening to this speaker together with your friends.
