Description

Deco X68’s simple white design and delicate outer casing allow it to perfectly blend in with virtually any home décor. The Deco X68 is a compelling choice for many people, thanks to its combination of speed and coverage. Another great feature in the Deco lineup is that you can add other Deco units into your Wi-Fi system. This is a great option if you have some fixed-location devices like smart TVs equidistant between the Deco nodes.

In the app, you have the essential options like IPV6, port forwarding, and access point mode, but if you were looking for specifics like changing Wi-Fi channels or channel widths, you're out of luck. With two nodes covering up to 5,500 square feet, this is a great choice for a large home with up to gigabit speeds. The only problem with HomeShield is HomeCare which came with most of the same features but was completely free. Anyway, I digress, any help would be a godsend, I'm really sick of the speeds I'm getting with the X50s. Manage your WiFi inside or outside your home with the Deco app; connect Alexa and control the Deco X68 with simple voice commands; the device can create a single Mesh network with any Deco model. per year, and you'll a few more parental control options as well as security monitoring and intrusion protection. My devices in fixed locations connected to the nearest node reliably, and portable devices would eventually migrate to the closest node.

Replacing the very complete feeling HomeCare, HomeShield comes with additional security features and parental controls. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.Moving upstairs, where the second unit is located, I was still able to get over 200Mbps down and more than 10Mbps up. Wi-Fi 6 connectivity also worked for the devices I own that support the standard, like my Galaxy S21. You can also trigger the Deco X68 to look for a better Wi-Fi channel in the HomeShield tab if you're getting congestion slowdown. If it truly is the case that all three nodes need to be connected to each other via the 6 Ghz bandwidth, to use the wireless backhaul, I don't think I can achieve that in my home.

Even with lockdowns and working from home ending in some parts of the world, many people are still pushing their home networks to their limits. TP-Link's premium security services keep your home network safe with cutting-edge features for network and IoT protection. Finally, it's alarming how much data about my network activity that the Deco X68 is sending to a third-party company by default, with seemingly no way to turn it off. I am drawn to the XE75 by Wifi 6E, although none of our devices currently support that bandwidth, but it almost feels like future-proofing. The app will walk you through creating an account (if you don't have a TP-Link account already), finding the station, and setting up your Wi-Fi network. With seven data streams, this router gets an extra speed boost for its backhaul and can even deliver higher speeds to devices with 3x3 MU-MIMO like Intel-based MacBook Pros from the last few years. HomeShield security help to secure your network while integrated parental controls are designed to keep your family safe while they're online. In addition to the impressive range, the X68 claims that the tri-band Wi-Fi 6 can reach speeds up to 3600 Mbps in perfect conditions. The system supports up to 150 devices with MU-MIMO technology allowing for simultaneous communication with multiple devices to help ensure smooth 4K video streaming, online games, and more. While you can connect the Deco X68 units together with an ethernet cable, it’s not required to create a mesh network.
