When you start reading you start to see that Megumi is really what Tsugumi should have turned out in the home he was raised. While Tsugumi should be like Megumi based on the home life he had.

Also incredible? Tsugumi refusing to use suppressants and going on and on about his iron will and how that’s gonna keep him from going crazy during his heat 😂 I love my gremlin omega son it comes to sex. The duality is interesting. The person teaching him all this is Megumi & he's having a hell of a time since he's having his own issues. He's seeing the love & care of Megumi's home & what he wishes he'd had. The art is overall quite nice and the sex scenes are pretty spicy (and there're plenty of them). In general it's all consensual, tho there's one scene in which they both get overtaken by their hormones and get carried away. I have to add that I was a BIT disappointed by the translation, which was mostly OK but seemed a bit rushed and overly replete with niche anime slang (like “gap moe” for instance) being used conversationally. This is sort of a pet peeve of mine, because people do not really talk like this. With publishers like KUMA actually having naturalistic dialogue that sounds normal in their releases, I feel like SuBLime has to up their game a bit (again) with regard to this. I just don’t think you can get away with releases that read like scanlations from the mid-2000s any longer.

Megumi is an alpha, quite a popular one from a school for all alphas. One day two of his friends ask him to help them deal with a guy who had beaten them up. The guy is Tsugumi, an omega quite ready to use violence when needed and also hating most On the other side, there is Megumi who is an alpha, but he hates the idea of being controlled by his own instincts and is scared to end up like his father.

Overall this was quite good, and the way it’s written makes me think it would be quite good as an introduction to the omegaverse for readers of yaoi who maybe haven’t encountered it before - although that’s probably a dwindling number, at this point. omega's feelings, I like that this one also focus a lot of the alpha and his feelings regarding the whole crazy pheromones thing. Well, I have some oddly mixed feelings about this manga - for the most part I really quite enjoyed it, and I certainly plan on getting the second volume. But I have to admit that reading it felt…. Odd, to me. I think because despite being an omegaverse story, this manga followed so many familiar tropes to what I’d consider “typical” yaoi manga that it almost threw me off a little bit. If you like omegaverse BL mangas but are tired of the stereotypical helpless omegas and overly possessive rapey alphas, you'll probably like this manga. While still containing a lot of the tropes often depicted in omegaverse, and particularly the BL take of it (such as alphas being "high class" while omegas are looked down upon, alphas preying down on omegas, sudden heats at the worst moment, etc), it's a fresh take on it and it's a more fun read than many omegaverse BL that lean more on the ansgty side. While many other omegaverse BL (at least the ones I've read) focus more on the

Both main characters are likeable and have good chemistry, their dynamics are really fun with plenty of cute moments. If you like caring tops and/or buff and assertive bottoms in your BL, you'll like this one. Tsugumi is way more proactive and sure of himself than most omega characters tend to be, which is really refreshing, and his dumbness is quite entertaining, and Megumi is such a great kid that tries to do his best and be responsible, I like him a lot. Tsugumi's parents are also a great couple and really adorable. The whole premise of the manga is that Tsugumi has internalized some of the anti-omega prejudice, and uses anger, violence and sheer will to manage his heats, refusing to take suppressants. He also despises all alphas. I also liked that there is genuinely consent in this manga. It’s not clear-cut and perfect, but the characters do actually talk it out. They both eventually make it clear that they fully consented to everything they did because they do like each other and feel an inexplicable attraction beyond what their omega and alpha instincts dictate. Believing all alphas view omegas as nothing more than tools for reproduction, he holds an intense hatred for them. When Megumi makes it extremely clear he does not feel that way—and confesses feelings that Tsugumi does not understand—Tsugumi starts to doubt the strength of his willpower alone.
