Description

What I like is that this machine has really been thought about. The mug is made from stainless steel which means there’s no worry of breakages, and it’s the perfect material for keeping your brew hotter for longer. This compact battery-powered coffee maker is probably easier to use than your regular home coffee brewer or related products. The water tank holds a maximum of 240ml (8oz). Almost half a pint of coffee should see you good for several hours. The tank also comes with its own little handle for easy lifting in and out.

The coffee maker works on Makita batteries only. In case you already own one, then the price tag of this coffee maker is rather affordable. But buying one separately increases the total price of the model. FAQ I didn’t expect the battery life to be that short, but that only shows how much more power a coffee maker uses compared to a drill, for instance. Unlike many cheap coffee makers, this model features boil-dry protection, which automatically turns off the power if it senses there isn’t enough water.

Dedicated cup of 240ml capacity designed to fit in machine without leaving a gap to protect against splash and dirt entry If you’re using the 18V LXT battery, 5 oz of coffee will brew in around five minutes. The less powerful battery takes around seven minutes to brew the coffee. However, if you don’t already have a Makita battery, you’ll have to buy it separately. That can add up quite a lot to the total price, which I’m not thrilled about.

The designers at Linkind are clearly pour-over fans, and they wanted to create a device that would allow ordinary people to get the same delicious flavors of a well-crafted cup of pour-over, but without the science and technicalities. The machine works by automating the brewing process, rotating the water reservoir, and ensuring that the coffee grinds get an even, timely amount of saturation with the correct coffee-to-water ratio. They also clearly had the environment in mind when they conceptualized this device, as everything from the body to the mesh filter is made of eco-friendly materials and designed to be reused. The exterior of this coffee maker is made of plastic. But before you start thinking – that’s not the most durable choice of material – I’ll stop you right there.

There’s no better way to start a hard day of work in the middle of nowhere than with the luxury of a hot cup of coffee. The Makita DCM501Z 18V LXT/ 12V max CXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Coffee Maker has a small and compact design.
