The British National Ploughing Championships is an amazing event which is held in a different part of the country each year and on a site of over 200 acres it will have around 250 ploughmen – and women – from throughout Great Britain taking part.

But it’s not just ploughing!

It offers a rare glimpse of how farming has changed over the past 300 years – magnificent heavy horses, vintage equipment displays, steam ploughing engines working the land and many styles of vintage tractors and equipment; all alongside some of the most up-to-date machinery of the present day.

There are plenty of trade stands, shopping stalls and country crafts –  so it’s a great day out for all the family!
