About this deal

The biggest difference being that Kaneki doesn't go to the bad side like in the anime, something that never really felt believable. I started the manga like 2 years ago however I left it with 2 volumes to go for a circumstance I can't remember (exams maybe? But the creature still poses a dire threat to the city as it continues to birth mutant Ghouls, some of which are infecting humans with a horrific form of Ghoulism! They look like humans, they talk like humans, they act and even pretend to eat like normal humans, there’s no way of telling a ghoul from a human until you end up as their next meal.

Losing his taste for his favorite foods, developing violent urges and twisted desires to consume the flesh of his fellow humans, Kaneki is forcefully pulled into the demented underworld of ghoul society which has existed alongside human society for many years in secret. Thinking back to the very beginning, when Kaneki became a ghoul and struggled with losing his humanity, to how things turned out in the end, with Kaneki as the leader of the ghouls striving towards peace. The heartbreaking tragedy of the protagonist will have you weeping your soul out, whilst the heartwarming moments - which are in abundance - will make you cry even more. While Kaneki and his friends tangle with Ghouls from the Aogiri Tree organization, the Commission of Counter Ghoul’s ongoing investigations bring them dangerously close to discovering Kaneki’s secret. Moreover, the ending was a bit abrupt with little resolution for main characters instead preferring continuation into a sequel series "Tokyo Ghoul: re". Kaneki seems to get lucky when Rize slams him around the construction site and ends up knocking a large hunk of metal down on herself from all the destruction she caused, and ends up killing herself by accident just before she can deliver the final blow to Kaneki. Things start to seem too good to be true when the shy and socially awkward bookworm Kaneki scores a date with the girl of his dreams, a beautiful, mature and intelligent young woman named Rize. Effectively it's a Blade-like action drama about fighting to keep your humanity after becoming a monster.

I wasn't crazy about the ending, it felt very odd for what we had learned about many of the characters up to that point. Lo malo es que en la mitad en muy lento e hizo que me desenganchara ucho de la historia hasta que llega el volumen 6-7 y ahí la cosa se comienza a poner muy, muy buena. Kaneki, Nishio and Touka struggle to work together to rescue their human friend Kimi while Ghoul Investigator deaths skyrocket in Wards 9 through 12.The story primarily follows Ken Kaneki, who lost his memory and now goes by Haise, training as a ccg investigator. But once Kaneki decided to shoulder the burden of essentially the entire 20th ward, he turned into a tragedy-just-waiting-to-happen.
