An intriguing, entertaining book with everyone being suspicious, you can not trust anyone and with great characters driving the plot, it all makes for a compelling read.

Now I can’t help but think someone doesn’t like what’s happening under our two roofs. Or perhaps someone doesn’t like there being a wife next door…That said, I have a feeling most people will strongly disagree with my thoughts about the final chapter. Please bear that in mind if you’re considering reading this book. I loved 99% of it, so my dislike of the final 1% shouldn’t be given any undue emphasis. I really enjoy this author's work - always a tense intriguing psychological thriller....however if i had to choose I would say this is my favourite so far

I raced through this book eager to find out if Jane is right about a body in her neighbours garden. Appearances can be deceptive though and what she discovers isn't what she was expecting But I can't pretend it's all in my head when a false accusation is made against me that could destroy my life - and Toby's - forever. What they don't know is that they're messing with the wrong person. And that hell hath no fury like the wife next door... But I can’t pretend it’s all in my head when a false accusation is made against me that could destroy my life – and Toby’s – forever. Two stories are told throughout the book; the 1970's where main protagonist Jane is a child and living a life of fear with her abusive father and mother, and in the now, where Jane is now living in her childhood home after the loss of her mother. Next door neighbours Evan and Ashleigh seem to have a pretty volatile relationship at times, but all is not as it seems on the surface.What they don’t know is that they’re messing with the wrong person. And that hell hath no fury like the wife next door… Aside from my issue with the main premise, the characters are mostly likeable and I rooted for them.
