Through the ups and downs of co parenting and running a business and a household all those butterfly feels came out to pla although, thats almost the same thing as the to-may-to or to-mah-to debacle seeing as i hated “ Regretting You” for pretty much the same reasons (besides the toxic mother/daughter relationship being my main one). The characters leave their mark on you in such a way that by simply turning the pages, you develop this ache in your chest. If I hadn’t read previous books by this author, I would have thought From the Embers was her debut novel and might have excused this twist! However, life has to go on, Eason and Bree are now single parents, grieving the loss of their partners and trying to put one foot in front of the other.

This author never disappoints on delivering a rollercoaster of emotions and angst through many plot twists, although some were predictable, they still left me in shock.
