A proud history of service to the hobby

Over twenty years ago the Witney Model and Collectors Club was formed. Since then the club has grown into one of the largest in Oxfordshire, with a membership of over forty covering a wide variety of modellers and collectors.

The club has always been a community based organisation and over the years has contributed its services to the town of Witney and further afield in West Oxfordshire and surrounding areas by organising fund raising exhibitions and attendance at rallies and other events, these including: fund raising shows for local churches, participation in the Witney Carnival and Christmas Lights Switch On, the 2012 Town Jubillee Celebrations and the Town’s Annual September Feast.

Events regularly attended have been Fairford Steam Rally, Fawley Hill Vintage Rally, Burford Vintage Rally, Long Hanborough Bus Museum and Ducklington Vintage Rally.

In October of each year, the club holds it’s own mega show which has now firmly settled for its regular venue at St Mary’s Church Witney. With nearly 40 exhibitors, this has got to be one of the largest shows of its type in the South East.

The club meets regularly every first Tuesday in the month (except for January) at St Mary’s Church Witney and meetings have regularly featured a wide variety of talks on subjects featuring member’s interests, local history and allied modelling topics.
