Art, Craft & Design Fair Sunday 5th May and Bank Holiday Monday 6th May 2019 Open 10am – 4pm each day A fantastic opportunity to pick up some unique handcrafted products and design tips. Held in the former stable block of Lamport Hall with over 70 stalls showcasing handmade wares from regional artists, craft workers and designers including artwork, decorative glassware, jams, chutneys and fudge, home ware and other crafts. Browse a variety of beautiful products, perfect for that unique gift or a treat for yourself. In addition, enjoy artists at work and discover traditional rural crafts such as willow weaving and pole lathe turning. Why not relax with a drink and a bite to eat? Refreshments available from Sauls of Spratton. Disabled parking and toilets are available. Please note that although the event is held mostly on one level, there are a few steps in places and some gravel paths/cobbled areas in the stables. There are also gravelled paths in the gardens. Autumn Gift And Craft Fair Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October 2019 10.00am – 4.00pm Once again the Gift & Craft Fair returns to Lamport Hall. With over 80 stalls showcasing handcrafted jewellery, decorative glassware, unique arts, clothing, accessories, cards, artisan foods, homemade jams, chutneys, fudge, and other gifts, visitors are able to browse a variety of indulgent treats for themselves or seek inspiration for some early Christmas shopping. Housed under cover in our Edwardian stable block, you can shop ’til you drop whatever the weather! The fair has been a yearly fixture for over twenty years, and is sure to be a great day out for all the family. Disabled parking is available and disabled toilets are available at the house. Please note that although the event is held mostly on one level, there are some gravelled and cobbled areas in the stables. There are also gravelled paths in the gardens. Please note that credit/debit cards cannot be used for entry to the event or house/garden entry. The nearest cash machine is in Brixworth village.

‘As You Like It’ by William Shakespeare 6.30pm (gates open 5.30pm), Saturday 20th July 2019 Bring a picnic and settle down in the Lamport gardens to enjoy a live performance of Shakespeare’s classic tale by The Rain or Shine Theatre Company. You’re sure to be in for an evening of laughter, excitement, and adventure! Disabled parking and toilets are available. Please note that there are a few steps in some places, with gravel paths as well as grass walking areas. A friendly show featuring a wide range of working demonstrations, static exhibits and activities. Arranged by the Nottinghamshire Group of the National Vintage Tractor & Engine Club this show is held annually over the August Bank holiday weekend and this year will be held again on a fantastic site at Bothamsall, just a couple of miles from the A1. Highlights from our normal the Programme of Events* include: Saturday Auction of Bygones Parade of Vehicles Vintage Working Demonstrations Sunday Ploughing Match with a range of classes – Vintage, Classic, World Style and Horse Grand Parade of Vehicles Vintage Working Demonstrations Monday Vintage Tractor Road Run Vintage Working Demonstrations There is plenty of space for caravans/camping on site for those who would like to make a weekend of it.  On Saturday and Sunday evenings there is a DIY BBQ, with meat supplied on site by a quality local butcher. Suitable for the youngest of Enthusiasts! The Family Enthusiasts day is an opportunity for all keen Narrow Gauge Railway Photographers and Railway minded people to take a ‘behind the scenes’ look at the Statfold Barn Railway and the way it works. Various Statfold engines providing a regular train service from the main Station, Statfold Junction through to Oaktree Halt , around the loop and back through Oaktree to the Junction. The passenger can alight at Oaktree to visit the Narrow gauge Trust Museum to ‘take in’ not only the Static displays of locomotives but view the Round House , where the days non-working loco’s are on view, but also to see various Railway artefacts. The visitor can see and ride on the renovated Burton and Ashby Tram which runs from its own dedicated Tram Shed down to Oaktree and back. Children can enjoy rides on our swing chair rides and bouncy castle while adults sit back with a coffee from our diner. There are displays of model railways in various gauges which show the expertise of the railway modeller. Altogether, a great day! CHILDREN OF ALL AGES ARE WELCOME!
