Come and join us at New Forest Cider, Burley for our annual Craft Cider making Weekend Saturday 14th October 11.00am – 4.30pm & Sunday 15th October 11.00am – 4.30pm. Learn how cider has been made for centuries along with more up to date methods. We also have plenty of rural crafts being demonstrated over the weekend, from blacksmith to hurdle maker to homemade fudge, there is something for everyone. Music will once gain be provided by the always entertaining Skimmity Hitchers, singing their own brand of scrumpy songs!  

Our very popular end of season rally – steam engines, cars, stationary engines, demonstrations, displays, and miniature railway rides (free to children). Find out about the story of drinking water in our new Discovery Zone. Enjoy an informative stroll around our Waterworks with everything fully open, restored machinery in operation and our volunteers on hand to explain how it all used to work. If you wish, join a free Guided Tour to find out all about the Waterworks. Children can follow their own trail looking for clues to the story of the site. Can you find ‘Twyford Toad’? Learn about the progress we are making to restore our boilers and steam pumping engine! Discover the lime kilns up above the main works, where you can also watch the industrial narrow gauge railway at work. Follow our nature trail around the three acre site and see what you can spot! Relax in our renowned Tea Room, offering a wide range of hot & cold drinks, sandwiches, toasties, snacks, cakes & ice creams, all at a reasonable price. Our regular public open afternoons are popular with families and entrance is free. Opening times 2pm-5pm Train rides are available on both our ground level and raised tracks.Tickets are £1.50 each or £5 for five. You can keep unused tickets for travel on a later date. Our outdoor “garden” railways will be running, as will our OO gauge railway in the clubhouse. Light refreshments are available. The profits from the sale of railway tickets on our Charity Day are used to support a local charity. In recent years this has been Disability Challengers, who are our neighbours in Stoke Park. All our public events are held at our Stoke Park site. We don’t offer pre-booking; just turn up on the day. Refreshments. Free parking.

Step back in time to experience the magical nature of the Edwardian fairground as the sights, sounds and smells all come alive as darkness falls! Please note that normally only the Fairground will be operating on these evenings.
