The last major Crankup of the year with all the engines running. In 2017 the volunteers are working on a number of new engines and hopefully a number of these will be running at this event. The new engines include several large steam engines and a very large twin cylinder Crossley diesel from Gold Corner Pumping Station.

  Blaenavon Heritage Railway is set in the heart of a World Heritage Site on the edge of the Brecon Beacons and has approximately 3½ miles of track. You can travel from our main station at Furnace Sidings to the Big Pit National Mining Museum for an underground tour*. Our second journey takes you to Coed Avon and Blaenavon (High Level) where you can alight to explore the Heritage Town and Ironworks. Our standard rover ticket allows you to ride all day; we also offer single journey tickets if required. We are offering our Website browsers almost 20% off family tickets over the weekends 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th June, when you quote the name of our beautiful big red locomotive ‘Mech Navvies’.
