Vigor130 | DrayTek

Most ISPs currently use PPPoE connections with the FTTC service and this guide will cover the configuration of that on a DrayTek router with an Ethernet WAN interface. If it's going to be used to connect a router without its own modem, the Vigor 130 and Vigor 166 are ideal, they work as VDSL / G.fast to Ethernet modems out of the box.

G.fast / ADSL / VDSL Modem - DrayTek

The DrayTekVigor 130is an ADSL and VDSL modem with an Ethernet connection; it is not a router but a true ADSL/VDSL Ethernet Modem (bridge). The Vigor 130 provides compatibility with all current UK VDSL/ADSL technologies; it has been extensively tested and tuned to provide a robust and reliable DSL connection.

LSYMB This parameter reports the actual number of bits per symbol assigned to the latency path in which the bearer channel is transported. This value does not include trellis overhead. It ranges from 0 to 65535. Maximum possible value is 3825 in case of ADSL2 and 7665 in case of ADSL2+. I imagine it might be possible via more advanced configuration somehow, can settle with just setting it on the actual device when I need to for the moment. I am currently reviewing my network at home, and have just replaced my Netgear X9000 with a new Unifi network. Whilst its in the early stages i've found it much easier to control and understand how the system is behaving. When the DSL LED is lit solidly, the Vigor 130 has established the link to the DSL line and can be used for bridging. Each DrayTek modem is designed to offer stability and extensive compatibility across internet providers for a seamless online experience. We have two Wi-Fi modem models available, so it’s important to understand the benefits of each and choose the product that best suits your needs:

Firmware 3.8.4 BT - DrayTek

By providing a PPPoE bridge, the connected device (firewall, router or PC) can log into the Internet (your ISP) directly and have full control over the Internet connection - that makes the Vigor 130 a unique product. You can connect any device to the Vigor 130 which has a PPPoE client facility, which includes PCs, most Ethernet-WAN routers and the Apple Airport/Time Capsule™ products. Personally I don't think you can get a more reliable modem at the moment on the market than the Vigor 130 in my opinion. Leave the Service Name field blank if that option is present because that should not be set when using the Vigor 130 modem: Notice the heading, "ATU-R Info (hw: annex A, f/w: annex A/B/C)", is explicitly stating "ATU-R" i.e. the local modem/router. Under that main heading there are two column headings, "Near End" and "Far End". Logically, something has to be incorrect about what is displayed. Some ISPs may use a VLAN tag other than VLAN tag 101, the Vigor 130 is pre-configured to use that VLAN tag on the VDSL2 interface (not ADSL) and so, if the ISP uses a different value, this needs to be changed on the modem. CO ITU Version[0]: Vendor code of the exchange / cabinet equipment CO ITU Version[1]: Vendor code of the exchange / cabinet equipment (continued) Far End - The remote end, which is the cabinet or exchange's hardware. This is the Upstream information.

Draytek Vigor 130 - Anything better? - Plusnet Community Draytek Vigor 130 - Anything better? - Plusnet Community

Provides Annex A modem code 567517 & 562301, and Annex B modem code 567617 & 567212. Recommended for Germany. (G.Vectoring) 3.9.8.4-08v With the Vigor 130 modem now configured to bridge VDSL to Ethernet with no VLAN tag added by the modem, the router can be configured to use this.

If the modem isn't connecting to the internet, then I would say that is the first thing to sort out, then worry about connecting the router to it afterwards. Now go to [Internet Access] > [MPoA / Static or Dynamic IP] and enable the MPoA (RFC1483/2684) interface.
