I'm waffling whether to give it 1 or 2 stars, but it left a bad taste in my mouth, despite some sparks of creativity.

Liam Sharp greatly surprised me, working in a Bisley/Sienkiewicz style quite far from what he usually does.Ennis, mostly doing this as a favor to get a friend back into the swing of things after he had been sick, just forgot about the script. On the contrary, Mr Ennis cleverly founds his tale and his characterizations both drawing on the classic mythology of Batman’s world and reshaping this very world, balancing between the likely and the unlikely. Batman: Reptilian collects issues 1-6 of the DC Comics series written by Garth Ennis and art by Liam Sharp.

I have to agree with one of yhe criminals this version seems to be more of a monster than those he hunts.I think there’s something perfect about the way Ennis is throwing all sorts of ideas at the wall here, and even if none of it really sticks, it’s a really fun ride, but it’s also a mess, and at times it feels like he’s using his irreverence as an excuse for lazy writing.
