For example, those who have paid are given or select a named horse in the race. The winners are then awarded the prizes that had been advertised in advance. PrizesUsing films of actual horses, shown on a large screen, guests enjoy an evening of selecting and then cheering on their horse. By using real money, they can be an extremely successful fundraising event. If there are third parties selling goods or services at your event this doesn’t count as money raised for charity and can be kept by the third party. Who can take part We supply an A4 payout calculator, which makes the working out of the race night payout very easy. At the end of the race the winning payouts are announced. On evenings where the tote is manned by yourselves, our staff does not handle the money. At the end of the night, however, we will provide a full breakdown sheet of how many bets were placed on each race, which horses, the payouts, and the total amount raised for your chosen cause. The ‘Race Night Double’ is an entry sheet where a player correctly predicts both the winning results in two races (usually race 5 & 7). There are 64 possible combinations. Each player writes their name in a square on the special Race Night Double entry sheet. The person who has correctly predicted correct result in both races wins a cash prize. All entries must be sold to guarantee a winner. There can be only one winner with the correct combination of result. The value of the prize depends on the price per entry. Getting the whole event sponsored takes the pressure off, and guarantees a worthwhile event for all concerned. Just relax, have fun, and make money – you’ve got it all covered! The race night was very easy to run. Never having done anything like this before, I was very apprehensive but it all ran smoothly. Our races are fast-paced and feature exciting finishes; participating in them is a wonderful way to pass the time and have some fun. If there is an interval, or a break for food or something else, this is ‘downtime’ for us where we are not generating money for you. To maximise your fundraising we offer some fun ‘pay to play’ interval entertainments to keep your audience engaged and entertained.
