Description

Orbit is described as "designed by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond". [22] Kapoor is a Turner Prize winning sculptor, while Balmond is one of the world's leading designers. According to Kapoor, both men are "interested in a place where architecture meets sculpture" and "the way that form and geometry give rise to structure". [23] Kapoor and Balmond stated that their interests have blurred and crossed over into each other's fields since they first began working together in 2002 on Kapoor's Marsyas installation in the Turbine Hall of the Tate Modern. [23] As well as Orbit, in 2010 Kapoor and Balmond were also working on the Tees Valley Giants, a public art project in northern England. The Chicago Spire was a skyscraper project in Chicago that was partially built between 2007 and 2008 before being cancelled. Located at 400 N. Lake Shore Drive, it would have stood 2,000 feet (610m) high with 150 floors and been the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. When originally proposed as the Fordham Spire in July 2005, the design had 116 stories, included a hotel and condominiums, and was topped with a broadcast antenna mast. [6] The building was designed and spearheaded by Spanish architect-engineer Santiago Calatrava and Chicago developer Christopher T. Carley of the Fordham Company. On March 16, 2006, the Chicago Plan Commission unanimously approved the initial design of the building. [7] On November 4, 2016, a court ruling brought the original development plan and the extended litigation over the nine-year-old project to a close. [8] Developer Garrett Kelleher signed over the property location to the project's biggest creditor, Related Midwest, who announced that they would not build the Spire and released plans for a different project. Construction of this tower, like the circular tower, began in 1996 and was completed in 1999. It has 46 floors and its main occupant is Bezeq, Israel's largest telecommunications company; Bezeq occupies 13 floors of the tower. The tower's cross-section is an equilateral triangle.

Edit(s) MSpaint is simply an example i use due to its simplicity. Any program that lets you create circles a pixel wide would work! So for non windows users, be creative! Things like photoshop should work (correct me if im wrong). Also the circles in my first example cover the smaller circles that are used in almost any project thats not MASSIVE

The Spiral, also known as 66 Hudson Boulevard, is a 66-floor, 1,031-foot (314m) skyscraper with 2.85million square feet (265,000m 2), on 34th Street between Hudson Boulevard and Tenth Avenue in Hudson Yards, Manhattan, New York City. It was developed by Tishman Speyer, constructed by Turner Construction, and opened in 2023.First, once you park your car and go through the main gate, it’s about a 5 to 10 min walk along a raised boardwalk to the actual Skywalk structure. When you arrive at the Skywalk you’re immediately asked whether you want to go on the slide that goes down about 3/4 of the structure. If you do, you need to line up to get a sliding mat. Since we got there near opening time, the total wait time was only 20 min. But when we lined up a 2nd time, it took easily 60min which we were told is the typical waiting time. The slide down is about 7 seconds, but definitely fun. Plan your schedule accordingly because we spent way more time there than expected because of the slide. The views from top were nice. There’s also a net floor you can walk on (not jump) for a little extra thrill when you reach the top. Kamin, Blair (December 21, 2006). "Controversial skyscraper plan gets new look". Chicago Tribune.
