Kintaro Oe, the series' protagonist, is a perverted freeter (low income freelancer) who rides through Japan on his trusty bicycle, looking for his purpose in life.

Golden Boy (stylized in all caps) is a Japanese sex comedy manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Egawa. I personally did not love the anime, so I started reading the manga with no prior information hoping that it would get better.

While the scenes are initially played for awkward comedy due to Kintaro's perverted tendencies, the episode subtly demonstrates this isn't okay because of what a bitter, manipulative girl Naoko is and the realization Kintaro figured out what she was doing and didn't say anything because he pities her. Decide di girare il Giappone in sella alla sua bicicletta Mezzaluna provando ogni volta nuovi lavori, ogni volta con bellissime donne che impareranno sempre qualcosa da lui, come lui da loro, naturalmente nel modo più comico possibile! Golden Boy depicts him living the life of a free spirit, roaming Japan from town to town, job to job. However, before that change, he makes rather poor first impressions on them or the people around them due to his perverted traits, Hot-Blooded personality, and general clumsiness.

Around the second volume is when we get a small glimpse into Kintaro's past and we start to learn that it's within his nature as a person to help others out and do what's best for them while still making sure to shove his dick into anyone that moves and of course making their lives better possibly because of that but this volume is where one of the first things this Manga's advantage over it's OVA counterpart really starts and that's it's overarching plot of characters with the introduction of Masamue Kongoji who for lack of a better way to word it is a metaphorical god that is the embodiment of the theme of manipulation through false hope and the desire for sheer comfort that we all have and that Kintaro is the polar opposite of and this arch continues on and off through the rest of the series only concluding at the very end which without spoiling too much leaves you at a loss for words. year-old Kintarō Ōe obtains a janitorial job at an all-woman software firm led by the Ferrari-driving, skimpily clad Madame President. Working as a campaign staffer for a mayoral candidate, Kintarō is asked to tutor his boss' attractive teenage daughter, Naoko Katsuda, who wants more from him than help with her math homework. So I'm a big fan of the OVA series that this Manga was based on and after watching it all over again one day when I was going through my favorite manga scan site this came up and I figured I'd give it a read and man was this something. This manga is surprisingly deep and there's quite a bit of quality sections here and there with the biggest sting against this being the arch involving golden showers. The Cameo: Taruruto, from Tatsuya Egawa's previous series, Magical Taruruto-kun makes a small cameo towards the end of the first episode as "the wizard", serving as the office assistant-esque UI in Kintaro's newly built computer software. A sequel to the manga, Golden Boy II, was serialized in Business Jump from September 2010 to May 2011. Sure I find dirty humor likable, but its just a classic that presets all the other kinds of anime that have the same sorts of story line points as golden boy.

For fans of the anime it's a serious case of Mood Whiplash, and it doesn't take long for it to stop feeling even remotely like the same character and story. You will know after the first episode if this is your cup of tea or not, because the episodes are all quite similar. Cement Shoes: Apparently, Naoko has a habit of having her father, a powerful politician with connections to the Yakuza, disposing of boyfriends that she gets bored with, with one guy shown being thrown into a lake. Kintaro is also often seen demonstrating the skills he has learned in previous chapters to overcome challenges faced in the current one.
