I used Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and it went on even more smoothly than normal with a definite ‘lit from within’ glow. I love having a glowing complexion and primers are a great way to do this - especially if you want to tone down a more long-wearing, matte foundation. While some primers control oil and others make foundation last longer, these primers are meant to give your complexion a subtle glow.

The Becca primer is a little thicker and creamier in its texture and obviously has this light, pearly colour, which I do think means it might not be suitable for deeper skin tones because it could leave a silvery cast on the skin. It was VERY easy to figure out which one was on my arm just by looking at it, just because the consistencies are so different. A gorgeous primer that I wear everyday with or without foundation (mostly without) because it gives my slightly mature skin a lovely polished surface. I haven't used the backlight primer , so this may not be hugely helpful (have used the first light primer though) but the Lumene Instant Illumination in midnight sun seems to me to look very similar.
