As a professional makeup artist in film and TV it’s a staple in my kit to use on my actors to conceal scars. The biggest issue I dealt with was the amount of Dermaflage needed for the scar and to follow all steps in a timely fashion. i bought this on a whim because I’m turning 50 next week and I have these little frown lines between my eyes that I was looking to just erase sometimes. I’m still playing around with how best to use it with makeup, but all things considered I will be using and repurchasing this.

It really takes such little effort every day – I draw my left eyebrow, fill the scar with Dermaflage and cover it, while waiting I draw my right eyebrow. Blend the clear and coloured Dermaflage product (always immediately replace the cap on the dispenser or it will start to dry). It is recommended that the Scar Removal Cream be used as long as the scar continues to show signs of improvement and for 3 months thereafter. I use such a small amount that I don’t use the applicator tip (although it is very nice and neater than when I mix the silicones myself). Makeup from Dermaflage covers the toughest discoloration including bruises, tattoos, hyperpigmentation and rosacea. But investing the time- meaning watching the videos and messing around with consistency, etc, and it will be worth it. The product itself will not dry out but you should be careful to wipe the hole of each chamber clean after use before replacing the gray cap or a mixing tip. The Extended Wear Primer is no longer required, but it can be added to any kit to increase the wear time to more than 12 hours.I like the product overall for depressed scars, but gel-like the pad that comes with the starter kit does not work well for me.
