About this deal

There is a restlessness to Vegezzi's images, a seemingly insatiable desire to rearrange the city before them, contrasted to the unfulfilled spaces they find. The book preached all about living unconventionally and spending your time doing what YOU want to do! I love that the author expresses his thoughts without it feeling like he’s trying to force you to believe in what he believes in. May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view… where something strange and more beautiful and more full of wonder than your deepest dreams waits for you - beyond the next turning of the canyon walls. Highly recommended for anyone who feels unsure, or anyone that is trying to choose a path that is seen as “untraditional.

I strongly recommend giving this book a read, as it challenges conventional notions of adulthood and provides practical takeaways for embracing a more vibrant and carefree existence! Vegezzi's photographs both document this experience and immortalise the adventurous spirit of adolescence. There is one point in the book where stillman talks about how privileged we are, but never really acknowledges that the lifestyle he describes is pretty much impossible for many. I felt that it was a bit naive and narrow or like when your grandparents tell you to apply yourself and you'll see results despite the crap societal barriers. It was just what i needed this week and motivated me to re-think some things in my life and to change some habits that are contrary to my heart. America's bestselling author of Wilderness, The Gateway to the Soul and Nature's Silent Message offers a glimpse into his childhood of skateboarding, high school brawls, and early trials and tribulations with money and success. While many Americans continue to work from home amid the pandemic, many are confronted with a work life that’s now inextricably intertwined with our home lives.

Books like The Magic of Believing and Think and Grow Rich taught us that life was full of possibility, and you could do anything you wanted with the right mindset. It is a hodge podge of word vomit and recycling of things in ways that don’t make sense in the context of his other writings. I like living in my mom's basement listening to music, watching videos, feeling bad about myself, contemplating life, and thinking about every person I miss or want to be close to. I understood that the author was trying to push the reader to appreciate nature and lead a minimalistic life but privilege is also hard to come by. The people on the fringes of society who don’t necessarily subscribe to the modern version of the American dream.Additionally make sure your User-Agent is not empty and is something unique and descriptive and try again.
