It starts off green and herbal, like a lot of 70's scents, then dries down to a fat but smooth leather and moss base. Of course, I'm wildly overromanticizing the past, as life seems to be hard and complicated no matter what era you are alive. It smells like spicy, sour oranges to me – another reviewer described it as “pickled lemons,” and while he seemed to enjoy it, I do not!

You won't impress ladies with it but if you like 70s and 80s style perfumes then this is more acceptable without any challenging notes. Great performance lasting easily 4 hours for me - most scents don't last more than 2-3 hours on my skin. Overall, Bogart Eau de Toilette is a great choice for men who are looking for a classic, well-rounded fragrance.A previous comment mentions that this frag could be worn by a CEO that kicks asses (or something like that). Some of the reviewers are correct about the top lemon accords tending to hide the remainder of the scent at opening, but given a bit of time, the rosemary, nutmeg and clove would take over and provide a very seamless and subtle transition into the leather/oakmoss base.

Upon deployment I get fresh cherry pipe tobacco in a leather pouch balanced with a medicinal note akin to surgical spirit. Being a Bogart fragrance (and especially from the seventies), I also expected it to go beastmode and fill the room within seconds - but it doesn't.Super strong musk in the beginning and then it smooths out after 30 minutes into a fresh and spicy scent with bits of cream smell in there. Very aromatic and smooth, lightly musky lavender and sweet orange blossom given strength by a woody vanillic base.
