For the Chaos Space Marines they get 3 Forgefiend traits and 3 Warpsmith ones – including the ability for a Warpsmith to make any Chaos Vehicle pass any Out of Action tests after a battle! I personally look forward to getting the Shroud Runners assembled and painted up to match my existing army theme, and also seeing some of those truly scary Warpsmiths dominating tables when Chaos gets their new rules.

We mainly cover Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, Age of Sigmar, Warmachine, Hordes, X-Wing, Infinity, Horus Heresy, and Star Wars Armada. a 32-page Eldritch Omens campaign book including new background, missions, and rules for both Craftworld Aeldari and Heretic Astartes units.Having forged a blood oath with Daethe ages ago, she set out to safe the spirits and avenge the dead. In addition, they’ve got a new trick to help with the key issue such units face, which is getting charged and brutally murdered if you go second. Aeldari snipers are so skilled that firing from the back of a speeding jetbike is considered only a mild inconvenience.

As folks have also pointed out the Dark Vengeance box set from around 10 years ago contained way more models, all of which were “new” at the time, however, they were ETB easy to build. We found ourselves replaying missions, switching sides, and trying different Goliath Down rules multiple times in our play-testing. So bad news Chaos Space Marine players – we don’t get any new rules here, simply the existing profiles! The latter looks like the power play – once per game when charged, you can inflict d3 mortals on the charger on a 2+ and inflict -2″ to all charge rolls against the unit for that phase. Not shying away from it, D'vok eventually gets there and uses much of his (mortal) manpower to build himself a base of operations and for experiments.

That’s never really what these have been for, of course, and while the Advanced Positions ability on their datasheet isn’t actually spelled out, it seems extremely likely that this is the standard scout deploy, which is great for them – being able to claim objectives early and tick off a distant RND if you win the roll-off is good, and will be especially potent if the Asuryani keep Phantasm. Also, I disagree that as someone well-known in the Warhammer Community it’s somehow my (sorry, our) job to wade in on the general politics of how GW perform their business. I do not doubt, however, that there are a small number of people out there who really enjoy exploring the new ways they can play with their units, but this in turn just makes it all the more difficult to judge the overall worth and value of these little booklets. They’ve gone from being a nigh-forgotten, unloved and underappreciated range to sporting some of the best-looking miniatures currently on the market. D'vok's goal is to harness the dead of the (abandoned Exodite world) Daethe's world spirit to feed them to some demon engines, believing these eldritch energies to super-charge them. The story that’s provided is, again, a fairly generic – if chest-pounding, high-octane and explosive – Warhammer 40,000 affair. It was the hot-blooded Autarch Ghaelyn – known as the Bloodied Fang – who shouldered the challenge, throwing caution to the wind to avenge her Exodite allies.

In the first instance, I’d always guess no: these boxes are primarily pitched at people looking to up the number of models in their collections after all. The Autarchs’ actual statline hasn’t changed – still pretty much standard for a senior character, with maybe the only surprise being that they do still only get 4A (though the toys more than make up for that, as we’ll see). Instead of an Infinity Circuit, Exodite worlds are embedded with a network of psychocrystalline structures that form a world spirit. He hasn’t got quite as many customisation options as some of the other figures in the set, but this is easily forgivable given just how freakin’ cool this guy is. By then, People will still look back at Eldritch Omens and be able to say, “yeah, that was a fun box”.
