Hamilton the Pig is very fond of hats – big hats, small hats, tall hats and suitable-for-every-and-any-occasion sort of hats. She has written several successful books for both adults and children including, for Macmillan, One Gorgeous Baby and Hamilton's Hats . If this book is over 5 years old, then please expect the pages to be yellowing or to have age spots. Hamilton's Hats is Martine Oborne's delightfully funny story with a warm message about sharing, perfectly complemented by wonderfully witty illustrations from Axel Scheffler, the award-winning illustrator of The Gruffalo .

Axel Schleffer's art work is endearing as always - Miss 4 loves the sleepy monkeys (and the many, many hats).A wonderfully funny tale, Hamilton's Hats is a lovely book for young children to enjoy with their parents.

The interiors have an assortment of hats for the reader to look and 'choose' from, police hat, fireman hat, feathery hat etc. I never realised there were so many hats, despite my collection, which I do wear but fortunately do not get into the kind of situations that Hamilton did!Its a great opportunity to talk to your child about these personality traits with examples of what Hamilton is doing.

Axel’s artwork is exhibited internationally; he has illustrated for many charities and designed the Royal Mail Christmas stamps in 2012. Axel is the illustrator of wonderful novelty, gift and poetry books for Macmillan, such as Fish Who Dream of Trees (Two Hoots) and the bestselling The Bedtime Bear , The Tickle Book and Mother Goose's Nursery Rhymes – and of course, he is the illustrator of some of the world's best-loved picture books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child , which together have sold over 17 million copies worldwide.
