Filippo cea almonds from Puglia, considered to be among the best in the world, are harvested by hand and roasted for hours to draw out a uniquely full-bodied flavour. This right here is Adriatico Amaretto Bianco, an intriguing expression built around almond milk made from crushed white almonds, resulting in a subtly creamy but lactose-free liqueur!

The long connection between the Royal Navy and rum can be traced back to 1655 and Vice-Admiral William Penn's expedition to the West Indies. A pinch of salt from Margherita di Savoia on the Adriatic Sea brings a delicate saline note and its influence inspired the brand name. On the palate it offers a robust, full sip, in line with the sensations of the olfactory, persistent epilogue on flavors of chocolate, coffee and caramel. The logo, in turn, has two emblematic symbols of Puglia: the first is the "trullo", the famous Apulian dry stone hut that resembles an almond and treasure of local agriculture. The beautifully bitter Filippo Cea almonds (in Italian “mandorle amare”, hence the word “amaretto”) , after being handpicked and peeled, are crushed in a silk-smooth almond milk, infused with alcohol to reach the 16 ABV.This sweet wine is the result of an exceptionally long aging process during which more than half of this precious liquid evaporates. Amaretto ADRIATICO, just introduced to the world of liqueurs, is finally updated as the new guise for an aperitivo.

Adriatico”: that is the project born from the mind of two friends, who united by the dream of producing the first artisan amaretto made only and exclusively with Italian ingredients. Known for its excellent taste, the "Filippo Cea" almond is now being used through a revolutionary process. Rather than relying on cane sugar for flavour, cinnamon cocoa and a pinch of Adriatic sea salt are added to highlight the complexity of flavour found in the Puglian almonds. As well as the ADRIATICO ROASTED, a small quantity of brown sugar is added to balance the natural bitterness of the almonds.The first references date back to the Renaissance, which is also the time when the Avignonesi family entered the scene for the first time.
