Yeah, okay, I said love and slime in the same sentence, but the thing is it’s not like the home made stuff.

When we were given the opportunity to review some Glam Goo products I have to admit that I was a little intrigued. It would have been nice to separate the slime and make it different colours but it was just too sticky. The slime is in a big container and when we first got it out it was really sticky and messy, however, if you play with it in your hands for a while it changes texture and is easier to manage. The kids weren’t overly keen on it in that state, so I manipulated it until it firmed up a bit (hence the lack of photos, my hands were covered!Madeline, my daughter totally loved playing with this, to be honest, so did her Thomas, my 6-year-old son (you can see him in the youtube video) and I enjoyed it too. The slime starts off being awfully sticky when you get it out of the tub, but after work it and kneading it (like you would bread) and roll it into a ball before you add the glitters, scent or colour. When the children had made the slime they put each one into the case provided as it has compartments to keep the different slimes separate and a lid to stop the goo drying out or leaking. The shoulder bag would probably fit a book in it – though it’s more for showing off than being practical.

Despite having had to Google how to get slime out of socks this week (tips below), slime and Glam Goo is popular in our house so we are celebrating National Slime Day today, 17th March.We would have preferred a much bigger pot of the Glam Goo as this is the thing that the kids really want to play with. We have reviewed a number of toys from MGA entertainment which involve slime: the Num Noms Snackables Silly Shakes Maker, Poopsie Surprise Unicorn and now Glam Goo. When we were offered the chance to review a Glam Goo set, all I saw was the fun the boys would have it. Inside is a further pink lid which needs to be removed to gain access to the nine storage compartments underneath. We opened the pack of slime and started to add some sparkles, Meme choosing the white ones and Harri putting a bit of everything in.
