I originally came from Canon to Olympus, and then to Panasonic S1R/S1 and so I use the lenses on both Olympus and Panasonic bodies regularly.

I'm pretty sure that Viltrox needs to do inverse engineering, but Sigma is part of the L-mount consortium. If the MC-21 now does C-AF then there is a good chance that other brand adapters might work better with more lens types. How Sigma copes with adapting seems to be to update the firmware their own EF mount lenses to one or more recent Canon firmware protocols that they support and if the earlier protocols are used by either Canon or their own lenses then its a sort of 'too bad .
