Description

I would love to hear more thoughts about the camera from those who already using it, and there is some more information on the Xinfrared site.

With this mini design, this night vision monocular can be carried anywhere in your pocket or bag, more convenient and casual to use, can meet most outdoor needs. The promise of cheaper thermal vision is all well and good, but just how easy is it to set up, use, and then most importantly, how well does it actually work? With this mini design, this thermal camera makes it more convenient and lightweight to use and allows it to also use a cradle with grip (supplied). Most of the parts (apart from the handle) are made from machined aluminum and the clamp holds both your phone, the camera, and the laser sight very securely in place.

But it did not work well with two of three phones I tried, due to irritating frame freezing, probably caused by the higher data rate needed for more pixels. A monocular also means you don’t need to carry your phone with you and is likely a bit more robust with the connection between phone and camera likely weak spot .

Given how stable the image was, I presume it was mounted on some sort of tripod and lined up with the very obliging pigeons before he started shooting. The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other InfiRay owners to provide you with a good answer. Because I had not yet connected the camera and my phone to the mount, the image was a little shaky and happened to be upside down, which did perplex me a little at first, but this is easily remedied in the options section on the app. Another similar option is the FLIR ONE Gen 3, which is an attachment that connects directly to your device.

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. You could I suppose also use it on a solo night drive by mounting the phone on the dashboard and connecting it to the camera (held outside the vehicle) with a longer cable. Worth noting here is the phone also comes with a Night Vision camera and IR illuminator which enables you to see in complete darkness. Before it arrived, one of my main concerns about the InfiRay 2 Pro was how easy it would be to get it all set up and working with my phone as in the past I have had mixed results with connecting and using gadgets like optical devices and adapters designed to be used with your phone and I have found that if something is a pain to set-up, I tend to stop using it quite quickly.
