Nothing can break apart their "charging station" whenever they touch each other, hug each other, are in the same presence.I’m trying to be more frugal with my book spending, so leaving it behind was probably the right choice (even if it is so pretty! she starts falling for the grumpy fisherman who is desperate to not only bed her but get her to fall deeeeeply in love with him.

Once they both started opening up their hearts and breaking down the that wall, they start to realize that the urge that surrounds them to want to be together is so pure yet strong that nothing can break it apart.Don’t let the colourful contemporary cover fool you: if you stripped out the references to Instagram and smartphones, It Happened One Summer could pass quite easily as one of those awful 80s romance novels where Alpha Male Assholes do their best to Possess a swooning, delicate Female Flower. With her singular talent for writing romantic chemistry that is both sparkling sweet and explosively sexy, Tessa Bailey once again delivers—It Happened One Summer is everything I want in a modern romance, with two complicated, appealing leads, a setting that feels lived-in and also fresh, and storytelling you want to sink into even as you can’t stop turning pages. Thankfully her music prodigy, more private, mature, two years younger sister Hannah has no intention to leave her alone at this journey! She's determined to show her stepfather-and the hot, grumpy local-that she's more than a pretty face.

Piper needs to be taught a lesson any 28 year old woman should have known long prior: aspirations and responsibility. till the room stinks, till the walls sweat, till the police are breaking down the door after the 45th noise complaint.Top that off with no one showing up at Piper and Hannah’s bar (which was a serious head-scratching moment with a very weak explanation later), so Piper immediately throws in the towel to head back to LA. One look at her and this prick had become as dismissive of her abilities as her stepfather and her ex-boyfriend. Initially I found the plot quite intriguing, but then I guessed where it was going and from that point I felt that it unfolded in a fairly predictable and dragged out way, which affects my ranking of it. Helping her flirt with another guy is pure torture, but maybe if Fox can tackle his inner demons and show Hannah he’s all in, she'll choose him instead?
