FB is very unique with the compositions of the perfumes and I think there are not many that would be considered "easy crowd pleasers". I particularly love the addition of cedar and vetiver as the fragrance devlops on my skin, which not only stops it from becoming overly sweet but also maintains the dark quality of the overall fragrance. After an hour or so, it developed a very distinct texture; it felt as though someone had crushed a box of violet pastilles into a powder so fine that it could have been used as a "finishing powder" after applying makeup.

For me all the perfume goes around two notes: a sweet and very powerful honey and a very balsámic and balanced incense. I should have gone for the bottle like I always do (and it would not have ended in woe this time) but maybe it would be my New Year treat once the atmosphere has calmed down. I totally agree with steveniox, it reminds me of a dense, damp forest with violets, but drenched in honey coloured sunlight, maybe at sunset.Note: the animalic notes come through here and there so if this is off putting you may want to skip this or at least test it. I have felt that with the Dark Side so I will be pursuing a bottle of The Dark Side in the near future.
