Two years later we made the move to our present address, 35 The Headrow, where we have remained ever since.

But even still, after thirteen years of waiting for new material, Tool fans deserved a better thought out album. From the avant-garde percussion and awkward synths of 'Chocolate Chip Trip', to the almost-ethereal ambience of 'Legion Inoculant' and the riff and crescendo heavy 'Pneuma', it's a wild thing of beauty. Also along with the download of the video, to help make up for a lack of HD screen, included a a small collection of 3D style lenticular cards featuring images from the video. The tracks are very long, and each feeling like a journey in and of themselves and each one progressively feels like a mini album/ep of its own. Thing is, you see, Tool have been away for so long now that we’d assumed them consigned to history - it’s been thirteen years since they released ' 10,000 Days', you know.

They're still masters of odd time signatures and 10+ minute songs but other than that, it was tough to find anything that really stood out to me while listening. Photos I have attached are the actual artwork of the album , the portrait one in the description is the only one that is the correct one in this release . Formed in 1990 in Los Angeles, California – Tool emerged with a heavy metal sound on their first studio album, Undertow in 1993. Glossy cover with dark elements in matte and 6-sided fractal star on back, eyes centered in star points, silver on black geometric repeating pattern on sides.

I just want to play the record and having to open the big heavy book and take a new disc out after every side feels like more effort than it’s worth. Fifth studio album ' Fear Inoculum' is another set of baroque, stadium-sized prog-metal from The Thinking Man’s Primus.I kept waiting for it to break open because it felt like there was a buildup many times but it just never happened. The most intense songs on the album are Pneuma and 7empest and they're half the intensity of anything else they've recorded previously.

As a Tool album, I hope every fan will find in this something to which they can relate and I hope this review, such as it is, will inspire people to see this as a 'beyond' Tool work. This is all subjective, of course, and really not that important in the end, but still worth mentioning. The sound is so unbelievably rich and being a huge fan of Danny Carey, there are sounds from him I can hear on vinyl i could never hear on mp3 or cd. Digital versions have 10 songs (they include 'Litanie Contre La Peur', 'Legion Inoculant' and 'Mockingbeat', which are not included on the CD) and are slightly under 87 minutes long.
