Like many of us, I know Frankie best as the one with short hair from The Saturdays, but this book is a really frank ('scuse the pun) look at her journey with mental health and her relationship with the media. Frankie talked about everything with a beautiful honesty and the book comes from a positive place, she wants to use her words to help others.

Frankie intersperses advice from her therapist and medical expert to support her anecdotal reflections on her journey into motherhood. What I enjoyed about this book, and what made it more than another mum autobiography, is she is joined by her psychologist, Maleha Khan, and leading paediatrician, Dr Ed Abrahamson. Now, the fact that Parker cried the whole way home didn't help, it was as though we were cast off from the mainland, stranded out in the big wide ocean of parenthood all alone.

As someone who has, and continues to, suffer from anxiety, Frankie's book made me feel much less alone and I would recommend anyone to read this regardless of whether you personally have a mental illness, as it provides an insight into what a person with depression/anxiety feels. I grew up listening to S Club Juniors and The Saturdays and knew I wanted to read this as soon as she announced it. Gaby Roslin, Virgin Radio In GROW, Sunday Times bestselling author Frankie Bridge opens up about her journey with her maternal mental health. It combines guidance and advice from the psychologist and psychiatrist who pulled her back from the brink along with their notes on her and conversations with her.

From a personal standpoint as a fan of Frankie and The Saturdays, I am extremely proud of the way that she has managed to open up and be so honest about her anxiety, depression, OCD and anorexia. Sometimes I feel I'm not good enough and that I'm not the best daughter, sister, auntie, girlfriend or friend and it takes for me to take some time to myself and to distract my mind away from thoughts like this because I know that they are irrational and I can only do my best. I absolutely love it – it doesn’t matter who you are, what you’ve been through and how much you’ve changed – there is always room for growth’.

She said: 'I do carry some of that shame because I have stretch marks and I have looser skin in places and I feel like coming from the position I was in being in a band, I feel like I shouldn’t have that. It also features additional guidance and parental advice from leading UK pediatrician Dr Ed Abrahamson. Unless they've had a caesarean, mothers are encourages to spend less than one night in the hospital after giving birth (grandmothers say that they were able to spend a week there in the old days, but I am also told that in those days babies were left parked in their prams outside supermarkets.Ashley Park shares a hug with Emily In Paris star Lily Collins as she is 'recovering and resting in Paris'. Especially as it obviously bought back a lot of hidden memories and thoughts which probably set off her anxiety (She does talk about that in a chapter or 2). and “Medication” and “Will I get better”, as this was the point at which Frankie accepted she needed help and became tired of hiding the “other” version of herself.
