About this deal

Information about the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the screen. A higher resolution allows the display of a more detailed and of higher quality image. The pixel pitch shows the distance from the centers of two neighboring pixels. In displays, which have a native resolution (the TFT ones, for example), the pixel pitch depends on the resolution and the size of the screen. Ergonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. VESA mount

Underneath the panel’s center is an input panel with two HDMI 2.0 and a single DisplayPort 1.2. A 3.5mm audio output supports headphones or powered speakers. OSD Features There are various panel technologies. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. The image quality depends directly on the type of the display panel used. The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC. We went straight for Tomb Raider and its tropical world of jungles and caves. Earth tones are warm and realistic while plants and trees sway convincingly in the breeze. We maintained 130-140 fps for most gameplay with peaks at 144. Detail was set to maximum and we defy anyone to see a difference between the CQ27G2 and a 4K IPS screen. 3400:1 contrast will make any image look sharper. Of course, it being a curved monitor makes it less than ideal for detailed graphic or creative work, but I could use Photoshop for basic photo-editing without any issues, although the 16.7 million colours and relatively low 89% Adobe RGB coverage on offer aren't to professional spec.

The stand offers a 5.1-inch height adjustment with 30° swivel to both sides and 5/23° of tilt. There is no portrait mode, not unusual for a curved monitor. Movements are firm and have a quality feel; there is no play or wobble here. Information about whether there is a possibility for wall mounting according to the VESA Mounting Interface Standard (MIS). Information about the maximum vertical viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality.

The dynamic contrast shows the ratio between the brightest and the darkest color, which the display can reproduce over time, for example, in the course of playing a video. Information about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting. The static contrast shows the ratio between the brightest and the darkest color, which the display can reproduce simultaneously, for example, within one and the same frame/scene.Approximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. Information about the maximum horizontal viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. If that’s the theory, in practice the AOC C27G2 is a pretty mixed performer. In some regards, that’s inevitable. Stretched over a 27-inch diagonal, the 1080p native resolution translates into just 82 pixels per inch. Big, fat, fugly pixels, in other words. Given the 250 nit brightness rating, it’s likewise not a surprise to find this isn’t a terribly vibrant monitor. The C27G2 is a conspicuously SDR monitor, despite the inclusion of a rather silly ‘HDR Effect’ option, which is just one of several image modes you almost certainly won’t bother with. So far, so predictable. The pixel response, on the other hand, now that’s something we weren’t entirely expecting. There’s no sugar coating this, the AOC C27G2 has poor response in an overtly gaming context, especially given the 1ms rating. AOC has included configurable pixel overdrive settings in the C27G2’s OSD menu, as you’d hope. However, even at the most aggressive setting, some blurring and smearing is visible just juggling windows around on the desktop. Even worse, ugly inverse ghosting appears at the highest overdrive setting, too. Dimensions, weight and color Information about the dimensions and the weight of the specific model with and without stand as well as the colors, in which it is offered to the market. Width
