The irises of blue-eyed people have no blue tint. Blue, it turns out, is in the eye of the beholder. You see it for the same reason the sky looks blue. Light waves get scattered in the earth’s atmosphere and in the irises of some humans. This makes the sky and some people’s eyes appear blue. Throughout the 1950s, Elizabeth appeared in film after film with mostly good results, starting with her role in the George Stevens film A Place in the Sun (1951), co-starring her good friend Montgomery Clift. The following year, she co-starred in Ivanhoe (1952), one of the biggest box office hits of the year. Her busiest year was 1954. She had a supporting role in the box office flop Beau Brummell (1954), but later that year starred in the hits The Last Time I Saw Paris (1954) and Elephant Walk (1954). She was 22 now, and even at that young age was considered one of the world's great beauties. In 1955 she appeared in the hit Giant (1956) with James Dean. In Classic Hollywood Myths we take a look at all the myths about the Golden Age of Hollywood. What really happened? Are these ‘urban legends’ true or false? Classic Hollywood Central looks into it!

Yes. Although uncommon, you can naturally inherit these enchanting hues due to genetic mutations, internal eye inflammation, or albinism. Genetic MutationsIn later centuries, people often considered purple eyes to indicate that the gods blessed their bearer. It also signified spiritual awareness. It opened with a strong peachiness, somewhat green in nature and ever so slightly sour. The heart is composed of a creamy bouquet of jasmine, peony and rose. The fruitiness remains throughout the development of this scent, but the floral accords balance out the tartness nicely.

Elizabeth Taylor’s eye color has a few explanations. “There are various shades of blues and grays, with many in-between,” Norman Saffra, chairman of the ophthalmology department at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, explained to Live Science. “Violet may have been her typical pigmentation.”

I actually ran a bath before spraying this juice on, but I noted that listed among the ingredients was not BHT, which was already a positive sign. This seems to me to be a real perfume, and I would not compare it to most of the other celebrity scents I've tested. The quality of this is much better than HALLE, FANCY, and the Mariah Carey and Celine Dion launches, IMNSHO. Whether deep blue or violet, Taylor’s eyes were unforgettable. Violet eyes don’t have to be so rare This blog post provides a detailed explanation of purple eye syndrome. It also explores how it works biologically in terms of genetics and pigmentations, potential side effects or risks, and more. Alexandria's Genesis & Purple (Violet) Eyes Unfortunately, my blue (and unfortunately rather short-sighted) eyes will not manage to ever have a fragrance named after them. The violet-blue and unforgettable eyes of Elizabeth Taylor, however, are world-famous.......and the wonderful scent "Violet Eyes" was born......

Eye color can change based on the amount of light they’re absorbing — and this can also be altered by the clothes we wear. For example, a white shirt will reflect light onto your irises, making your eyes appear slightly lighter. Fair-colored eyes do reflect more light, so they are more affected by this change. Taylor, with her stunning eyes, was a master of this art, often donning bright, colorful garments in deep red, emerald, and canary yellow to complement her vibrant eyes. A few thousand years ago, the first blue-eyed man came into the world thanks to a gene mutation. Before that, there were only brown-eyed people. All people with blue eyes living today are descended from this ancestor, including me :) Furthermore, all blue-eyed people are related to each other. Since the fabulous beautiful Elizabeth Taylor had blue eyes, I am related to her! I find this idea very chic ;D However, Liz had violet blue eyes, mine are dark blue, but it doesn't matter, blue is blue after all! Like everybody’s eyes, Taylor’s looked different depending on the context. Blouses, scarves and mascara accentuate the dark blue or play it down. Photographers’ lighting techniques do much the same. Ancient Romans revered the color as a symbol of wealth and luxury, and the Native Americans believed it to be a sign of protection from evil.

1965

The union didn't last long and, in 1952, Taylor was walking down the aisle again—this time to marry actor Michael Wilding. In all, Taylor has married eight times during her life, twice to actor Richard Burton. While her love life continued to make international headlines, Taylor continued to shine as an actress. She delivered a riveting performance in the drama A Place in the Sun, and turned things up even more in 1956 with the film adaptation of the Edna Ferber novel, Giant, that co-starred James Dean. Two years later, she sizzled on the big screen in the film adaptation of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The following year, she starred in another Williams classic, Suddenly Last Summer. Taylor earned her first Oscar, capturing the coveted Best Actress award for her role as a call girl in Butterfield 8 (1960). My mother says I didn't open my eyes for eight days after I was born, but when I did, the first thing I saw was an engagement ring. I was hooked. Purple eyes continue to captivate people worldwide, likely due to its rarity. Those with violet eyes are “mysterious and alluring.” Some even consider them a symbol of strength and intelligence, qualities that set them apart. Final Thoughts
