Hi, I'm Mark Smith, founder and creator of Me On The Map. An adopted Londoner since the 90s, (having grown up in Dorset by the sea) I've been living in South East London ever since - and love the area. As a trained graphic designer and illustrator working for all sorts of global and UK organisations, I wanted to turn my hand to something literally closer to home. Upon first looking at it, it definitely presents as a book that would be used for younger learners. However, when you are looking at it as a book for teaching those skills of where you relate in terms of global aspect it takes things down to a simple level and is very much appropriate for grades K-5. and maps.
