Description

The Balefleet Battleforce is a contingent of corrupted warriors comprised of 10 Possessed , five Chaos Space Marine Terminators , and a Heldrake , all led by an infernal Daemon Prince. Boarding Patrol: Tyranids provides a balanced force of hungry Tyranids infantry, perfectly suited to ripping apart foes or firing grotesque bio-weapons in games of Warhammer 40,000 – especially in the dense and deadly Boarding Action missions detailed in the Arks of Omen series – and will save you money compared to buying the kits individually. While a case of the sniffles or festering pustules are not the kind of blessings you’d want to receive from Nurgle, your bank balance will definitely appreciate these savings at almost 50% off the total models if bought individually. The savings are practically on par with Boarding Patrol: Chaos Space Marines – and that had Abaddon the Despoiler in it. Though comparatively, Boarding Patrol: Death Guard has less models in it, the infantry and elite units have much higher points value (and general play value) than the 20 cultists in the Chaos box. Boarding Patrol: Death Guard – Contents Global prices have been estimated from similar-priced products. Boarding Patrol: Aeldari – Price Value & Savings Summary Although the Alpha Legion prefers subtlety, they occasionally take to the field in the full panoply of their Legion. Upgrade your Cataphractii Terminators with detailed shoulder pads, then add some flair to your line troops with MkIII Shoulder Pads and MkIV Torsos.

I don’t know if this would be a super effective army to be clear — but you’ve got some hammer units with the Terminators, Possessed, the Daemon Prince, and Abaddon. The Heldrake can cause problems. Plus you’ve got some boots for objective holding. It’s a start and needs to be refined for your playstyle but it can work.In this part, we’ll examine how the Grey Knights might be played in Boarding Actions. Here are their points values, including the buildable variants (though do note I have omitted the Purgation Squad, as they cannot be played in Boarding Actions).

But let’s look at we’ve got. It’s a very shooty list with melee capabilities – so these guys will hold their own at range and in close quarters. Terminators, being Terminators, are tough with 5+ invulnerable saves and choice of differing melee weapons and guns – which the Strike Squad and the other variants also get to dabble with. Chaos Daemons have – appropriately, given the arrival of Angron – manifested as a huffing and slavering crash of Khornate nightmares. 10 Bloodletters and 10 Flesh Hounds are led by Khorne’s favourite hunter – Karanak, the Hound of Vengeance. In the cramped confines of a space hulk, these frenzied killers will close the distance between enemy guns with warp-flushed speed and savagery. Boarding Patrol: Space Marines provides a balanced force of Space Marine infantry, perfectly suited to gunning and cutting down foes in games of Warhammer 40,000 – especially in the dense and deadly Boarding Action missions detailed in the Arks of Omen series – and will save you money compared to buying the kits individually. The Death Guard box is interesting, because it’s a really low relative value, but it actually has some good stuff in it. Normally Death Guard boxes are filled with Poxwalkers, and though I do like Poxwalkers, this is better. But it’s low value. Abaddon is truly a nightmare on the board – with the Terminator keyword, he can go into reserve and deep strike wherever on the board in the next turn, so you have the option to place him next to a strategic point at a later point in the game. If there is an unclaimed objective too far for the opposing player to reach, Abaddon can be there in a hot minute. To maximise him properly, you may have to forego deep striking and keep him with the lads Legionaries to buff them up with hit re-rolls and wound re-rolls, buffs to charge rolls and a myriad of other abilities that justify his expense. He’s also been given the Agents of Chaos keyword, meaning he can be dropped into a Death Guard, Thousands Sons or World Eaters army (though that may come at an expense of some abilities in those respective armies, be warned). And to top it off, he cannot lose more than 3 wounds in a given turn, and his statline is eye-watering. Taller de juegos have really despoiled us with this one. You may have noticed that blood is a common theme this week, and that goes double for Wednesday’s Warhammer+ releases. Battle Report tears open the Warcry: Bloodhunt boxed set for an epic clash using the new warbands and Fortification rules, while Citadel Colour Masterclass presents an in-depth tutorial for painting all of the blood effects you’ll need for the incoming World Eaters. It’s a big day for Warhammer 40,000 boxed sets, as two more factions join the Boarding Patrol collective and the new Desolation Squad and Brutalis Dreadnought of Strike Force Agastus arrive for frontline duty.

With 26 miniatures – the vast majority of which are recent releases – the Aeldari Boarding Patrol will have caught the eye of many collectors. This is an interesting move by GW, as the boxes are made specifically for the new game format. We’ll have to see pricing on these, but if they price them right, it could be a decent way to start up a new force and get to playing some boarding action games all in one go.Every unit in this box has Teleport Strike, meaning you don’t have to deploy right away. They can be set up in reserve and be deployed in the reinforcements step in future movement phases anywhere on the board you’d like – as long as it is 9″ away from enemy units. This will put you at significant advantage, as it gives you more opportunity and time to plan exactly where you can put your models in the most strategic places – on unclaimed objectives, or behind your foe’s models. In Boarding Actions, any unit with similar ability are invaluable. Step into the might of the Adeptus Astartes, the indomitable Space Marines – an elite force of genetically-enhanced warriors clad in impenetrable power armor. Forged from the genes of the Emperor’s Primarch sons, they are the pinnacle of combat prowess in the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40,000. Whether navigating the treacherous confines of a space hulk or engaging in intense boarding actions, Space Marines are unparalleled in their skill and versatility. The Grey Knights Strike Squad can be built as an Interceptor Squad, a Purifier Squad or a Purgation Squad – though the latter is apparently illegal in Boarding Actions, according to GW themselves. Leading this formidable force is a Captain in Gravis Armour, an imposing figure armed with a boltstorm gauntlet and a choice of brutal melee weapons – perfectly suited for dominating the tight corridors of enemy vessels. Accompanying the Captain are 10 Assault Intercessors, each wielding a chainsword and heavy bolt pistol. These versatile warriors can be organized into two squads of five, adept at navigating the cramped confines of spacecraft. Additionally, a squad of five Heavy Intercessors adds supporting firepower with a range of heavy bolt weaponry, their armored bulk serving as a bulwark against any breaching threats, while unleashing a storm of lethal projectiles through corridors. Boarding Patrol: Space Marines Datasheets

It’s interesting to see the huge difference in value between the two boxes, as GW did price them differently, bevcaue one would have had a ton of value and one not so much. Is The Chaos Boarding Patrol Box Worth it? Chaos Space Marines are right at home on the claustrophobic corridors of a space hulk, and we’re not even convinced the Thousand Sons register much of the weirdness going on given the forces they tamper with. This Boarding Patrol pairs two Chaos Spawn with 20 Rubric Marines, bringing an impressive number of bodies and a pair of pskyers onto the board while the Spawn make a right mess of anything they encounter. A heady mix of daemonic power and debased Astartes ceramite, this Battleforce is the ideal way to throw in your lot with the Warmaster and start scouring the galaxy for the keys to victory. This one is strange because a lot of the value comes from the Plague Marines, and considering the reinforcements box is so expensive for three minis; it’s hard to say. Genestealers have a long and storied history infesting space hulks, and their legacy continues in Boarding Patrol: Tyranids. A powerful Broodlord leads a cadre of eight Genestealers – dominating close combat specialists in their own right – and six Tyranid Warriors with a variety of organic weapons for range and melee. You can see this Boarding Patrol in action in the latest Battle Report on Warhammer+. The only problem? Everyone else wants in on the action, and now the whole galaxy is boarding the Arks of Omen in search of glory, treasure, or just a big punch-up. In fact, four more Boarding Patrol boxes are preparing for launch in the near future – and only one of them might be said to have the Emperor’s best interests at heart… Two of the sets are made for actual boarding actions, while the other box is just more of a normal battleforce for Chaos with plenty (including the new Daemon Prince and older Heldrake model) that you won’t be able to use in boarding actions. New Arks of Omen Box Sets Revealed By GW Ok, so with 16 miniatures, we have almost reached the 500 point threshold required for Boarding Actions, with only 40 points to spare, and no upgrades to pad out those points other than giving everyone a Nemesis daemon hammer. Unless you add in individual Grey Knights (which cost around 20 points each), you won’t likely be able to reach that fortune 500 with other Grey Knights stuff.
