About this deal

Overall the way I view this box that it’s quite good if you’re only interested in casual play. Almost everything in the box is matched by something else in the army that does the role better so this ends up feeling like a collection of second stringers. If you don’t care about an optimum build it’s a decent way to get a bunch of stuff together fast. Final Verdict: Good Value Ossiarch Bonereapers – Mortisan Tithe Echelon Target practice: Blissbarb Seeker High-Tempter, Shardspeaker, 2 Blissbarb Seekers, 3 Blissbarb Archers, 1 Blissbrew Homonculus. How to buy a Slaanesh Sybarites Warband Just for fun here we present few thematic warbands, meant more for fun or narrative context than for competitive play. Note that in narrative play you need to complete a quest that allows you to recruit a Hero before being able to add him to your roster.

Note: if you haven’t read the basic rules for Warcry before reading this article, it might be helpful to know that the game’s abilities are activated by using 6 dice that you roll at the start of your turn. Slakeslash is a Slaangor Fiendblood with higher damage (3/6) and wounds (22) and same ability to perform a bonus run towards a close enemy (remember that now costs a Double not a Triple). This is a hard one to assess because as of this writing Slaanesh isn’t doing so hot. Slaanesh mortals even worse so. So whether you want this is going to hinge entirely on whether or not your interested in pursuing a Hedonites of Slaanesh Mortals army regardless of how well you’ll do on the table.

Bonus mini-HTPE: Orangey Yellow

Note that although the sprues allow alternative builds for the Daughters of Khaine models, there is no Warscroll included for these alternate builds) Since then, the arrogant aelves extracted souls that once Slaanesh devoured during the destruction of the Old World, to repopulate the Mortal Realms with new civilizations (the Daughters of Khaine, the Idoneth Deepkin and the Lumineth Realm-lords). The remaining stuff is quite positive. The Bladelords are good, bodyguards for your more delicate or important Heroes like Teclis or the Scinari Cathaller are extremely important if you have the space. The wardens are your bread and butter and youll be buying a fair number of them anyway so good start to include them here. We are a small team of Warhammer Enthusiasts and miniature collectors, hoping to support and further promote the hobby. With the exception of Slaangor, who can basically just be forgotten about unless they get a new Warscroll or dropped to exactly 40 points, most of the new units will be playable once their points come down. But the level of drops that we need to see here are something in the area of a minimum of 20 points per unit and likely to be something closer to 40 points per unit. I understand that they don’t want summoning to break the army again, but they’ve already fixed that by limiting it to once a turn.

These issues with points costs in the Hedonites book continue to be a problem when you consider the army’s major mechanic. Unfortunately… The best case scenario is you deep strike this unit 12” away to pepper something and hold an area of the board. The problem is, why wouldn’t I use Chainrasps for that role? The Craventhrone aren’t going to kill a damn thing anyway, so I’d rather have double the wounds for the same cost. 12” range means you can’t keep them safe from any melee units, and they’re an inefficient screen, an inefficient ranged unit and an absolutely amazing sculpt. Seriously guys, these models are great. End on a high note, right? Wrapping things up After reading the coalition rules I found out you could give heroes access to artefacts from the parent allegiance, so I made another Beast Lord, this one using the Hedonite Godseekers “Lash of Despair” artefact: points for 11 models. One of them doesn’t have a bow, and only a sword and the item that makes their shooting 4+ to wound into a 3+.Ultimately the book is full of baffling disparities like this one and even with the book’s good units they don’t all add up to something that feels competitive. The army wants to survive long enough to generate Depravity but has no way to protect itself and its units costs more than comparable units in other books that have built-in defensive capabilities. They also want to do “enough damage” without killing you, but that damage output is less than what you get in other books for the same cost, and they have no way to stop themselves from killing your units. The Starshard Bastilla is pretty alright, if it weren’t sharing competition with the Vanari Sentinels for a similar role. The Bannerblade is widely considered straight up bad. Lumineth really don’t need a Bravery buff.
