The new state-of-the-art Learning Campus has been designed by Reiach and Hall Architects as a Net Zero Carbon Pathfinder Project with the Scottish Futures Trust. The low carbon construction materials were specified with the aim for the new college campus building to be the first #netzero tertiary education building in Scotland. I provided fire safety evidence to building control officers to get this project signed off so I feel like I have contributed to NMIS being able to open its doors. As the cherry on top, NMIS is hosted by the University of Strathclyde of which I am an alumni. Robinson Structures Limited, run by the Robinson family, ran out of cash and financial options last week and called in the administrators who have sold the business. B&K Hybrid Solutions’ extensive experience with Cross Laminated Timber has been invaluable in delivering our first Deltabeam and CLT solution on behalf of Balfour Beatty plc. BKHS were engaged under a PCSA to develop the Deltabeam and CLT solution with the project team, including detailed vibration analysis of the long span floor plate and the development of critical connection details.
