Savage Hearts is the third installment in the Queens & Monsters series and my goodness I am so in love with this book and really I love ALL three of these but I think despite how much I adored book 2 (Carnal Urges), I think this book tops that one or at the very least they are tied. Because this one worked into all my feels, it won my attention and I never wanted to let go of this story. I have loved seeing the journey of this author and LITERALLY, these are her BEST books that she has ever written in my mind. I deeply love seeing how far she has come and seen her growth and dark romance is her jam. I know that this genre isn’t for everyone, but I guarantee that she will have you fallen deeply in love with the genre more than just about any other author. There was so much goodness in this book that I can’t contain how thrilled I am to have read this beautiful book here. So much I am going to buy all of them on trade. I'm usually not someone who ask for a lot of angst, but here I needed something. Everything went too well for Sloane and Declan. Even near the end when Sloane got taken away, it wasn't like Sloane and Declan broke up or anything. They pretty much worked well together to defeat the enemy, but I just wanted them to fight or something. 🏃🏻‍♀️ I am not a mafia romance reader. I certainly am not a BDSM reader and since Ms Geissinger started writing books with gangsters in it and include more and more BDSM in them, I have been missing her previous work even more. Just because you graduated summa cum laude from an Ivy League college doesn't mean you're smarter than me." I loooooooved seeing all the previous books MCs! We get to see their HEA’s after their books ended, which was heartwarming and nostalgic. Sloane’s still A MAZE ING. Her feistiness is ON POINT… and Riley is like a smaller version of Sloane lol. Gahhhh! I looooved it all. I highlighted just as many bantery quotes as swoony ones lol It has deep emotions. It has fun banter. The plot line is good. There were moments I got really excited. As a matter of fact, I was never bored. In a mafia book, this is very unusual for me. Y'all. When I tell you I lived for this banter, words can't describe the level of goofy smile I had on my face reading it.

I liked both Malek and Riley and I think their connection felt most genuine out of all couples. Still a bit of a lust at first sight (more than just a bit) but this time it didn’t bother me. So many golden moments, I thoroughly enjoyed this. A little drama, amazing banter and plenty of heat. Declan had no idea what hit him. Admittedly Sloane was crazy, but sometimes in life you must be your own champion. This audiobook was narrated by Troy Duran, Brooke Daniels and Michelle Sparks. Troy’s deep, raspy, growly voice was perfect to portray Bratva kingpin Kage. Brooke’s performance as Nat was simply brilliant and Michelle taking on free spirit Sloane was amazing; I can’t wait to hear more when I listen to Sloane’s story in Carnal Urges.

And for the first time in this series I felt the emotions. I believed how much they loved each other. The tumultuous roller coaster in the last quarter helped. I was so bored once Malek kidnapped Riley and they were alone in the woods. They had some couple times, but it was so much tell instead of show and very repetitive, because nothing happened. Why is that? Is there really such a big demand for BDSM from some readers that almost everyone is trying to include that in their romance books to a certain level?! Even if so, they are risking losing their devoted fans. This had the perfect type of humor throughout. It’s sophisticated, easily instilled among the dialogue, and fits each character perfectly. That touch of humor was part of the reason I never wanted to put this down. I found myself smiling from ear to ear or often times laughing out loud. I could still be OK with it if they tried BDSM one or two times to spice things up etc but EVERY TIME they had sex, it was the same BDSM shit!
