Even if the shade isn’t quite right, I can make it work because it has a fairly sheer texture. What I love is how luminous and juicy this makes the complexion. It feels lovely and moisturising and is really easy to apply and blend. The texture is lightweight and feels more like skincare than makeup which is always really positive for me. It’s a bit of a shame that the fair and light shades are so deep, because I think if you have pale skin, you may struggle to find a match. Although I am a big fan of high end skin bases and foundations, I have always been impressed with L’Oreal Paris’ offering. They use a lot of their technology from the group’s luxury brands (Lancome, Armani, YSL etc.) and filter it down to their high street ranges. I don’t know why but the L’Oreal Skin Paradise Tinted Water Cream is available in thirteen shades, however only a small amount of those shades have made their way to the UK. It lasts really well on my skin, and although it gets a bit glowier, it doesn’t sink into lines and stays looking nice and even. It has a lovely natural finish on the skin, almost like a second skin effect, which I love.
