Description

Juliette has never fought for herself before. But when she's reunited with the one person who ever cared about her, she finds a strength she never knew she had.

Anyway, like any good love interest he's strong and tall and warm and has the most beautiful blue eyes and is gentle and "understands" her and *swoon* (I'm guessing that's the general reaction to that description?). Of course there's more to his story and Juliette's heart is being torn apart over whether she can trust him or not and yeah, never heard that one before. (I'm being mean. I'm sorry. I just really didn't like him or his effect on the people around him.)somewhere in here Warners actions get 'justified' it was a cheap way of switching the ML. Also am I the only one who thinks Anderson named Juliette Juliette because her and warner kept falling in love? (Romeo and Juliette) I Found that funny, lol. Her and Warner being inlove, Adam gets his shit together, and the world gets fixed, (Or maybe not). I colpi di scena, seppur pochi, ci sono stati e sono stati parecchio inaspettati e di grande rilievo. To be honest, the Shatter Me series is one of the best series I have read in a while. The characters, twists, plot, and storyline are all up to mark, but the way Tahereh Mafi describes every single minute of detail is what fascinates me the most. So, my thoughts. The premise is as basic as basic comes. A teen girl has super powers that ruin her life and has to fight in a rebellion to end the dystopian rule of The Reestablishment. The twist? She has a complicated relationship with Warner. the local bad guy, but wait! He isn’t as bad as he’s made out to be! He falls in love with Juliette for completely ridiculous reasons, and she finds him... attractive, so she ‘feels things’ for him.

One touch is all it takes. One touch, and Juliette Ferrars can bring a grown man to his knees, begging for mercy. One touch, and she can kill.

Besides the fact that the author stretched the story a bit too far, the title speaks for itself: this is not a sugar-coated series and is rather tragic. But the lessons to take from it stand powerful. The characters are dry. Warner is the only character I cared to read, but even then I don’t see how he’s being fawned over. He calls Juliette ‘love’ and has a good sense of fashion. That’s it. If I could sum up this entire review it would be that Mafi wrote these books solely for Warner. You can feel it in the writing. She tried to make the other characters interesting, but failed. But it’s okay because everyone who reads these books are only in it for Warner anyway. Also, so many gifts (or powers or however you want to call it)! Of course Warner's also the coolest in that department. I know I stopped during the third book, but I wish Juliette’s character development had been better. I wish her change had been more obvious. I wish her arc had been about how touch isn’t the only important thing in life. She was just starting to grow from her old mindset in the third book (due to Warner no doubt) Mafi could have used the people at Omega Point and her problems with Adam to further this—to say: I am powerful and capable and I’ve spent this long fighting for myself, I don’t need to spend entire books stressing about the first guy who liked me. I know that’s kind of Warner’s message to her, but we’re two books in and I’m already bored. The fact that he can touch her and cares about her should have come in later, after she'd delved into this belief for herself. Warner told her everything she needed to be and she did it. She never thought for herself (no, getting angry and yelling when you disagree with something is not thinking for herself). Imagine Me: Well, very fast paced, and multiple time skips. Anderson was such a glorious villain, Kenji and Warner brotherly love is everything, and an amazing fight no one saw coming.
