There is also a romance subplot in this series, which I do really like!! šŸ¤©šŸ¤© in the first book, it felt very fun and there was a lot of banter, but there was a little more depth to it in here šŸ„° I do really like riden and alosa as a couple šŸ’—šŸ’— HOWEVER, they kept inventing reasons to not be together and had SO MANY arguments & that did get quite annoying šŸ™ˆ There werenā€™t many beautiful lines, but I didnā€™t really care, because that wouldnā€™t really fit into this book. Jump, I command Vordan. He doesnā€™t hesitate. He throws himself over the railing. He lands with one of his legs bent awkwardly beneath him, just as Iā€™d intended.

The two girls left, hand by hand and they were excited to watch a movie together and about the book? well, Reynita couldn't care less about what would happen to the book and she would never miss the book. Her skills as a Captain are put to the test, but there's no denying her fierce nature. Struggling to gain control of her Siren powers, she grows closer to Riden and realizes something about him being near makes her powers easier to handle. Daughter of the Pirate King has a rather self-explanatory title. Alosa is the daughter of Kalligan, who rules over and terrorizes the seas. But Alosa herself is a tough, no-nonsense pirate captain who can more than hold her own. When her father sends her on a mission to find part of a map that will lead to a secret isle, Alosa must fake her own capture and pretend to be a prisoner as she hunts down the map piece on board a ship led by a ruthless young captain.

Of course, I couldnā€™t make my capture look too easy. I had a part to play. Draxen and his crew canā€™t suspect me. You wouldnā€™t give a second thought to a couple of men aboard your ship behaving in such a way or talking such talk. You do not get to judge us more harshly for being women. Itā€™s not fair, and it doesnā€™t make sense. Not to mention Iā€™ll throw your arse overboard if I catch you doing it again.ā€ He shouts, ā€œOutside, you fools! Itā€™s the land kingā€™s men. They approach from the south! Go and meet them.ā€ Overall, a decent conclusion to this series! It certainly isnā€™t a perfect book/series; however it surely keep your attention with all the constant-action and love-hate relationship going on between Alosa and Riden & Iā€™m glad to have read it.

With this new knowledge of her father's true nature in mind, she decides to set out on her own to claim the booty for herself and her crew. She feels no more allegiance to him. Every time men said something sexist she silenced them in a few seconds with an awesome response or act. Aye,ā€ Wallov says. ā€œAthellaā€™s information was spot on. Vordanā€™s gold was in the cellar underneath the false floor.ā€ This is definitely a cute story. I enjoyed Alosa's character. She was confident and stubborn, not to mention a real badass. The clashes between Kalliganā€™s army and the crew are epically portrayed that they strike your mind just like their cutlasses.
