Description

Since there’s no noticeable difference between 8-bit and 10-bit color in most games, it’s not a particularly big issue. Price & Similar Monitors Once tweaked, this is a very accurate monitor. There is no sRGB mode, so you’ll be seeing the expanded color gamut with all content. As stated earlier, there is no HDR support.

Moving on, the monitor has a peak brightness of 350-nits, which is more than sufficient under normal lighting conditions.

Approximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. The dynamic contrast shows the ratio between the brightest and the darkest color, which the display can reproduce over time, for example, in the course of playing a video. We only wish it had an sRGB emulation mode – if it did, we are sure it’d be a much stronger rival to the more popular LG 27GP850 thanks to its attractive design. Specifications Screen Size Power supply and consumption Information about the power supply and consumption, energy efficiency class, etc. 220V First, the Omen 27i occasionally forgets settings I’ve chosen, like my preferred color profile, response time and refresh rate. I have found that HP’s Omen Command Center app greatly helps in this regard. Ever since I registered my preferences in the app, my experience with the monitor has been far more consistent. But every now and then, I'll need to remind the Omen 27i again, after it resets itself to a state as if it had just been taken out of the box. Besides, a monitor shouldn’t require the use of a desktop app to preserve settings at all.

The HP Omen 27i monitor is certified as G-SYNC Compatible by NVIDIA, so you can expect flawless VRR performance up to 165FPS.

HP OMEN 27i Specifications

Ergonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. VESA mount The HP OMEN 27i is a FreeSync gaming monitor, but its also certified to be G-Sync compatible for Nvidia users. It’s a great choice if you are upgrading with the new RTX 3080, but it will also pair great with the upcoming Big Navi GPUs. Input lag sits at 4ms at 165Hz, so there is no need to worry about delays while playing competitively. Thoughts on the HP OMEN 27i

The HP Omen 27i input lag amounts to just ~3ms, which makes for imperceptible delay between your actions and the result you see on the screen. The Standard picture mode is factory-calibrated for the best color accuracy out of the box. However, it doesn’t clamp the gamut and there’s no sRGB emulation mode that would restrict the panel’s native ~135% sRGB gamut down to ~100% for a more accurate representation of the sRGB content (most games and web content).Approximate diagonal size of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the diagonal is calculated from the width and height of the screen.

Design is always a subjective call, but we quite like the angular, curve-free look of the Omen 27i monitor, and we think that a lot of other people will as well. The device is simple to configure and easy to set up, and the majority of users are going to do just fine using the calibration settings that the display has out of the box. Product images are for illustration purposes only, product availability and colours may vary by country. The Omen 27i’s styling is all about the diamond shape; you won’t find a single curve. Edges are nicely softened, but everything comes together with straight lines and right angles. The stand is wobble-free with nary a hint of play. It offers a 5-inch height adjustment and -5/20-degree tilt. There is no swivel function, but upright’s top is ideally shaped for hanging a pair of headphones. If you are using a variable refresh rate (VRR), be it AMD FreeSync or NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, and your frame rate is fluctuating a lot, the Level 1 setting provides more consistent performance across the entire refresh rate range since it still looks very good at 165Hz/FPS.Approximate width of the display.
