About this deal

Oat Balm Cleanser as a 1st step which will melt away SPF and makeup. Follow with your Salicylic Acid Cleanser as a 2nd step to wash away any leftover impurities. Shop our Anti-Acne Cleanse Duo.

IS THIS CLEANSER ENOUGH OR DO I NEED TO FOLLOW UP WITH A SEPARATE CLEANSER?This cleanser is perfectly fine on its own as a salicylic acid wash so it does not need a follow up however you can also pair this with another cleanser for a double cleanse. While it’s undeniably a beloved active ingredient with clear results, it is possible to use too much salicylic acid, particularly if you have sensitive skin. Reactive complexions or those who are particularly dry can respond badly to the ingredient if introduced wrongly, with dryness, redness, flakiness, or overall irritation.Acne can be a complicated and multilayered skin condition and unfortunately no one ingredient can solve it right away (trust us, we wish we could say it could). While a BHA exfoliant likely won't make blemishes vanish overnight, a good one will help set you on the right path. To stop this from happening, introduce the ingredient slowly, and apply thin layers in lower concentrations to begin with. Everybody can use Salicylic Acid in theory; it’s just about making sure it’s brought into a routine with care. Beta Hydroxy Acid serum is a great choice for oilier skin as its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties can help calm breakout prone skin without any burning or tingling sensation. Thanks to added 1% Hyaluronic Acid, our BHA serum is non-drying to skin.

IS THIS PRODUCT VEGAN?Yes! This product contains no animal derivatives and is now certified by The Vegan Society. Alpha Hydroxy Acid exfoliates the skin at the surface to clear dead skin cells. It exfoliates the skin by breaking down the "glue" that holds the dead skin cells together . Most AHAs are recommended for normal to dry skin, and skin with past sun damage (that isn’t currently sunburned) because of its natural exfoliating and resurfacing benefits. Salicylic Acid works to remove flaky skin through gently exfoliating. It also helps to balance oil levels on the scalp. The two other ingredients in the formulation FLUIDPURE 8G and PANTHENOL help to reduce redness on the scalp and to hydrate the scalp and hair. Hyaluronic AcidSerum as your first step after cleansing, then apply preferred treatments & moisturiser. There’s no set rule on how often you should use a BHA exfoliant, as it depends on your skin type and the formula you decide to use. The short answer is no, most people do not need an acid exfoliator everyday. There are a few important points to consider. Yes, you can! However, we would recommend using these two products on separate occassions to avoid over exfoliation of the scalp. Because of this, your humble salicylic acid exfoliant might actually be your new best friend if you’re looking for an oil and blemish-busting formula. Hyaluronic AcidSerum as your first step after cleansing, then apply preferred treatments & moisturizer. Formulated as a pre-wash treatment, it works to gently exfoliate and slough off dead skin cells on the scalp's surface to eliminate product buildup, reduce flakes, and minimize excess oil. Clinically proven to deliver visible results after one use, the formula soothes an itchy-feeling scalp, le aving it feeling healthier and more balanced.

We recommend that it’s best to alternate versus using both at the same time. In addition, it’s always important to consider the percentage of the acid and doing a patch test first before fully committing to a new product to avoid any potential irritations or sensitivities. You can learn more about how to do a patch test and why they are important in our blog here .Today, we’re breaking down the differences between Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) and Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA). Neither one is better than the other, rather it’s all about determining which one is best suited for your skin type. So let’s dive into what each acid is and how it works. So, if you’re a BHA newbie, or struggle with sensitivity, it’s best to start off around the 2% mark, which is enough for you to see a difference without leaving skin irritated. If your skin is more resilient and you want the stronger stuff, you can find formulas with up to 10% BHA, but we'd recommend building up to this slowly. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Gentle enough for daily use, the non-drying, exfoliating gel cleanser helps to unclog pores and remove dirt, impurities, and excess oil leaving skin feeling deeply clean and clarified.

IS BHA SERUM VEGAN?Yes! This BHA Serum contains no animal derivatives and is now certified by The Vegan Society. I never use chemical exfoliants during the day. So I use it in one of my PM routines. I use it after cleansing with Micellar Water and don’t layer it with any other actives. Sometimes when I wake up with a huge pimple, I use it as a spot treatment with the hopes that it would go away even faster. How It Worked The first time I tried it, I used it as a spot treatment and my pimples took forever to disappear. So, I found myself using it multiple times in between my routines. Eventually I had to use it all over my face hoping to wake up the next day with less pimples.
