About this deal

The dry down on this is 95% Far Away by Avon! I'm SO HAPPY❤️❤️❤️ The initial spray is a bit more sexy but after an hour or so it's almost as I'm smelling my forever love again🥰 I first met Far Away in kindergarten when some of my teachers were (I guess) doing/buying Avon and they left one of the catalogs in for us to look at the pictures. The Only One Eau de Parfum Intense is available as a 30ml Eau de Parfum Intense, 50ml Eau de Parfum Intense and 100ml Eau de Parfum Intense from January 2020.

I can smell some nice warm vanilla the next day, but the frag has not such great lasting power/projection like YSL's purple bottle juce (that I can smell for 2 days on my skin). The longevity is decent with it lasting 7hrs on my skin with a moderate silage, it makes me think of being wrapped up in my scarf, coat and boots while walking down a street in Oxford on a cool autumn/winter morning. While its nothing unique or groundbreaking, it does, to me at least, feel classy and elegant with the right amount of sweetness. I also agree with people who say it smells like something from the early 2000s, except I cant quite place what it is. I have a “trained nose” in gourmands, so if it smells like any other to you it’s probably because you are not used to this amount of sweetness. But I can assure that among other similar DNAs, this is different.TOO opens with syrupy orange blossom, followed by bold, powdery Parma violets. I get some synthetic, musky pear after a little while, enhancing the sweetness. It seems that coffee, vanilla and caramel are the queens of evening autumn/winter fragrances. Together, they can be sexy, skanky, classy or comforting. Dolce and Gabbana's The Only One is one of those fragrances that can be all of the above, and excellently so. It's a lovely, gooey gourmand, a more sophisticated step-up from a caramel frappuccino, tamed and classed up by powdery, cosmetic-esque notes like iris and rose, and grounded by a little patchouli. The coffee-vanilla combo comes out front in center, but not in an obnoxious way, but rather in a comforting and welcoming way.

This really is warm and cozy and just plain simple happy. I think this is such a huggable scent, you know? Like I'd love to smell this on someone when I hug them, or for someone to smell it on me when they hug me. This lasts amazingly well, and while I love it on its own, I find that it layers amazingly well with CH Good Girl, or Lancome La Nuit Tresor and my favourite - with Swiss Arabian Casablanca. The woody aspect of the last one especially is the perfect compliment to the sweetness of The Only One. But it gets killed immediately. In fact, killing me softly makes a more appropriate name for this number. You will smell like some fruit tart/bakery when wearing this, but in a good way. I think it is yummy. The opening is more joyful and transparent, but dries down a sweet gourmandy scent. Nonetheless, it's not all sweety and creamy; the coffee note is there to prevent it from going full blown girly sweet. I truely get why this is loved by many, dupe or no dupe, and if you love apple, bob's your uncle. Objectively, it's a nice one, but for me, it remains a no after thorough testing because of that darn apple note. 🤢 Having said that, the best that D&G has to offer today. Imo.It's a sweet, floral, amber scent with some freshness in there, mainly from the green apple. Jasmine is right in my alley and it merges amazingly with the coconut (something I would never have thought).

I do not quite understand the negativity for this perfume, i do agree that the name has no selling value, who wants to be the only one but the second? On me, the bergamot and the middle notes take over the base notes I wanted. I get so little caramel that it's almost invisible. There is ZERO vanilla for me. I waited over an hour for it to "develop" and, nope. Nothing. Despite being advertised for women, I believe men can also enjoy this one. It is really yummy and works well in colder weather or in air-conditioned environment. On my clothes it remains a little more fruity sweet. It’s almost like two different scents that smell great together.

D&G The Only One INTENSE has not much in common with its previous 'the only one' flankers imo. - I think, it is the the best of all the flankers, as it seems to be the most grown. its a rich creamy fruity rose scent......and i dont mean fruity in a teen way lol........its an adult version for sure :) i picture a woman in a beautiful long red velvet gown- hair swooped up , perfect red lips - everyone eyeing her type of gal going to a evening gala in this scent :) This is so bland and disappointing. I mean, it's ok... it's wearable, but it's so shy and retiring with no character. I figured it might be a fresh take on The One which my mother wore for date nights and special occasions, and when I was a teenager and didn't have special occasion fragrances of my own, I sometimes wore it too. The One has been watered down so much I don't even recognise it anymore, so I wanted to try this one instead. But this is such a boring flanker, and a boring scent in its own right. It smells sweet and watery. I was curious to try it when reviewers described this as a CEO, boss lady signature fragrance. No, it's not... It's not going to offend anyone, but when it comes to inoffensive scents then there are better options, when it comes to Amber Vanillas there are better options, and when it comes to boss lady fragrances then this doesn't even belong in the list but again, there are better options. Will use up my sample by layering, it's so easy to layer because it doesn't have much substance.
