About this deal

The magnet is great. It is solid. I dropped one from about 3 feet on a concrete floor, it survived without damage. I don't know the accuracy, but it was close enough to the AC thermostat readings in several rooms. It is a good thermometer. The high and low records are a plus. If you are planning on a high humidity grow room (like a humid/ wet greenhouse) I would suggest the "ThermoPro TP-60 Indoor Outdoor Temperature and Humidity Monitor" for a few dollars more. Put the outdoor sensor in the grow room and locate the monitor in a less humid room. Why? The indoor unit does not have a weather sealed battery compartment which may corrode the battery terminals under prolonged high humidity. However, if your grow room is like a basement with grow lights, this unit should work fine. Healthier Home: Thermometer hygrometer with temperature and humidity monitor ensures proper indoor humidity control has important skin, allergen and other health benefits There are also two buttons on the front that are easy to use and see; one button is for alternating between Celsius and Fahrenheit, and the other for resetting the max/min temperature.

It is important to make sure that the hygrometer you choose is compatible with the power sources available in the location you want to place it. It will need an electricity source or a battery. Wi-Fi Is there a feature to set notification (may be beep) if we set humidity level ? for example, notify when humidity is above 50% ?

There are options to either hang the monitor, or prop it up on its own stand. Therefore, you can easily move it around and keep it on any surface, including shelves in the greenhouse. In the middle, the largest numbers show the current temperature. Then, above and below, the maximum and minimum temperatures are displayed as well. These can be measured over any period of time, as they are reset manually. In terms of accuracy, it generally seems to be correct to ±1°C, so whilst not a professional device, it’s useful for general gardening. The total temperature range available is -50°C to + 70°C, although it can get a little less accurate during very hot summer temperatures.

Compared to the small Brannan Greenhouse Thermometer, the ThermoPro TP50 is capable of measuring a much larger range of temperatures, from -50°C to 70°C, and it can display its readings in either Celsius of Fahrenheit. Display: Displays the current humidity and tem- perature, and record maximum and minimum humidity/temperature. Greenhouses aren’t renowned for having loads of free space, which is why it helps that the ThermoPro TP50 Temperature and Humidity Monitor is a particularly compact device – measuring just 7.8 x 6.6 cm. It fits roughly into the palm of your hand. Will this malfunction in high humidity? i want to use this in a brazilian rainbow boa terrarium and condensation is typical.Innovative room climate indicator: the humidity meter shows the current humidity and temperature in adorable symbols: dry, comfort, wet. If the room climate is too damp or too dry, the smiley is unhappy, so you can easily inform yourself about action needs for room climate control

Calibrate means that you adjust your measuring tool (e.g. thermometer, hygrometer, speedometer, etc.) to give a known value when it's measuring (detecting) that value; you usually do this by adjusting a screw or other mechanism that results in the unit showing a 'reading', or measurement, of that known value on its display or output. This unit does NOT have any calibration adjustment.Do not leave exposed to extreme high or low temperatures since this may cause damage to electronic parts and plastics. DANGER! Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the recommended batteries. Do not shortcircuit the device or batteries, or throw them into a fi re. Excessive heat or improper handling could trigger a short-circuit, a fi re or an explosion! If you are trying to determine the actual humidity, then I would say NO. It does not give a humidity reading, but just a smile face for good, a frown for bad, etc. The temperature reading is usually 4 to 5 degrees less than it should be, also. I would go with something more accurate. If you want to monitor the humidity of a place from a separate location, you will need to buy a humidity meter with a sensor probe or multiple sensors and a console sensor to cover more ground. Portable ThermoPro has been a professional manufacturer for many years. With a passion for innovation and customer

You should avoid placing your thermometer in direct sun. This will give readings that do not reflect the overall temperature. You can shade the top of the thermometer with foil to help prevent this. In general, it’s best to place the thermometer about mid-height and away from doors, windows and heat sources. Remember that the temperature will be a little higher above the thermometer and a little lower below it. Other hygrometers sense changes in volume, weight, or the transparency of various materials that react to humidity.the combination thermometer and hygrometer provides a temperature measurement result between -50°C to 70°C, which is available in °C or °F. The measuring range of humidity is between 10% to 99%. The readings are automatically updated every 10 seconds thanks to the built-in sensitive sensors So, when you first put in the battery, it start recording the highs and lows. So, my lowest humidity wise was 32 low humidity so that was pretty pretty pretty dry and the highest was 69. So, guys this is something that you could see also with this one this one was 38 and 57. Sometimes, all you need is a basic, water-resistant thermometer like this Brannan Digital Max Min Greenhouse Thermometer . It doesn’t overcomplicate things, simply displaying the current temperature, as well as the maximum and minimum. Whilst the design has a built-in ‘roof’, this doesn’t do much in regards to protecting the thermometer from either rain or sun, and it’s best to keep it out of direct sunlight as well to avoid overheating. For taking basic temperature readings, look for a wireless digital thermometer that shows min/max temperature data as well as the current temperature. Thermometers that show maximum and minimum temperature over a certain period are really useful, as these allow you to see how much temperature variation your plants are experiencing. You can then plan ahead to keep your greenhouse’s temperature more consistent.
