but instead, Ms Emily said "hmmm let's take everything we loved about movie Jasmine and twist it up, and everything we hated about movie Jasmine and intensify it" Yasmin Karam, daughter of one of the richest men in the world, has never known strife. So, when her beloved father falls ill, she is determined to make his final days his happiest. His last wish? To see her married to a man of his choosing. Except Yasmin's heart already belongs to someone else. A servant. A street rat. A man her father would never consider worthy. OH MY GOSH!!! PERFECTION!! CHEF'S KISS👩‍🍳💋!!!! I cannot even begin to explain to you just how much I LOVED this book!! Emily McIntire DELIVERED with this one !! Somehow each book in the series just gets better and better!! This entire series has become one of my all time favorite series EVER!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. I honestly came to love slower developing romances even more the more I read and this book did just that! You could honestly cut the tension with a knife but it was so worth the wait!!

I love them both separately a lot but together...I was a little Aham about it at first. But by now I see the pattern of Author Emily's characters falling in love rather drastically, so I'm not fully surprised! Julian and Yasmin might be one of my favorite book couples ever. I absolutely devoured any part where they were together. And don’t get me started on the ending of the book. Julian was willing to give up the thing he has been searching for his whole life for her! This is one of the best enemies to lovers I’ve ever read. I squint my eyes, irritation stabbing at my middle like a dull knife. “Are you implying I’m a whore?”The only reason I’m giving it 4/5 stars is because I wish the ending was drawn out longer. It felt cut off in a way and didn’t feel as if it got the attention it deserved. As a reader, I felt as if we didn’t get enough time to see how everything played out and I without spoiling, I will say, I wish the final final conflict was hinted at more throughout the book. It just felt rushed. Plus I wanted more from the epilogue. More explanation on how everything worked out and how things were going. Lily has a hidden past that she likes to keep buried, as the scars haunt her, with her desperately trying to forget about what she’s lost. Then there’s Mason who’s similarly hiding behind an illusion, something which he shares with Lily, as the two find each other. Will they be able to overcome their pasts, can the make a new life together, and what will they discover beneath the surface? Julian is also so so so hot oml!! If I was Yasmin I would’ve went for him straight away lmao. He’s just so well written that I even fell a little bit for him. I love the depth he had to his character. And we obviously adore protective, possessive and intelligent men on this account!!! I first watched the Animation version of Aladdin and then the movie before I read the book and boy I freaking love it- The references are k!lling me! Personally, I love the movie the most as We can see more depth to Jafer 's character, and why he is what he is.

I am seriously enjoying this series and I honestly don’t know which book is my favourite. Surely all 5 books of a series can be acceptable as equal favourites? (yes I am counting Crossed which we know absolutely nothing about because doi?) The romance was so spicy, and there was a lot of sexual tension! All those little touches and dialogues between them were heated! And the romance growth was shown slowly. After 20% of the book, I WANTED THEM TOGETHER! Julian was so caring for Yasmin, and he loved her fiercely! ♥️😩 I love how in the end both change for good, Julian finally gets someone who chooses him before anything and anyone, the thing he desires the most and Yasmin finally learns to stand for herself and stop pleasing everyone. Listen. I love James from Hooked (the first book in this series), but damn Julian you really took the cake with this one. That dirty talk though.

Welcome to Shh... [Smut, Heroes & HEAs], a reader group dedicated to contemporary Romance & Erotica. When Father Cade lays eyes on Amaya, he finds himself ensnared, convinced she’s using witchcraft to lure him to her. He can’t eat. Can’t breathe. Can’t think unless it’s of her. OW/OM DRAMA OM — Yasmin has been seeing Aidan for years, and Julian sees them together while they’re having sex (before he cared about her) I wish the ending hadn't been so approximate and definitely still needing some answers, but I'll take what I get.

I’m absolutely in love with Yasmin!! She’s so freaking smart and I love when she doesn’t hold off on speaking what’s on her mind and bantering with Julian!! It was so entertaining to see them “argue” while at the same time literally pining for one another. Like the tension was so so so good. Sometimes even too intense if you ask me but I still loved every second of it!! Also known as a songwriter too, Emily McIntire is extremely creative and versatile in a variety of different areas. The written word has always compelled her from a young age though, especially with her love of Harry Potter as a child. Currently writing to this very day, she also has a child, as she continues to put out on both a regular and consistent basis. The 4th installment of this stand alone series follows Yasim and Julian and let me say this…..Julian is my Italian king i love that man so damn much. Inspired by Aladdin like always with this series I just adored all the Easter eggs. This book also has some of my favorite tropes with the age gap, enemies to lovers, arranged marriage and I just ATE IT UP! I think after the halfway point this book really takes off and it has one of the best spicy scenes in the series. I mean the coffee table?!?! 🥵 EMILY NEVER MISSES and this is a MUST for my dark romance peeps. This book may not be my favorite of the series so far, but I definitely liked it more than book 2 and book 3 put together. where is the spirit of Jasmine who stood up for her choices, outsmarted Aladden, jumped roofs, fought Jaffar, and defied her father?? PUFFFFF gone to get this shallow version of a sex doll that wears skimpy clothes (disregrading every Arab culture) and sleeping around with this and that (again disregarding Arab culture)

Not that Emily’s writing is bad (it’s amazing, please don’t come for me) but I feel like we’ve experienced her writing growth and her word play and just how she makes you feel with her words. This was by far the best book in the series for me! I don't think I have loved an Emily McIntire male more than Julian Faraci. He could tell me to jump, crawl, or beg, and I'd do it in a heartbeat just to hear that "Good Girl" praise from him whilst he called me gattina... The upbringing of James Hook was a difficult one filled with trauma and abuse, as he attempts to deal with his past. Dealing with the horror as an adult, Wendy Michaels manages to calm the darkness inside him, as he attempts to make sense of it all. A game of cat and mouse develops between them, as he attempts to put the darkness behind him and move on from it all. Will they manage to overcome it all, can they face the future together, and what will happen with Wendy once she’s hooked?

I've known for a while now and just haven't allowed myself to think about the fact that when it comes down to it, the things that used to be important to me pale in comparison to her.” In 2020 Emily McIntire would write and publish her first novel, and she would fast become a hit with readers from around the world. This debut book would be a romance titled ‘Beneath the Stars’ and it would also be the first in the ‘Sugarlake’ series of romantic novels. There would be four novels in this series, with the third and fourth being released the following year in 2021.Jasmine Karam, daughter to one of the richest men in the world, has never known strife. So, when her beloved father falls ill, she's determined to make his final days his happiest. His last wish? To see her married to a man of his choosing. Except Jas Julian Faraci has one goal: become the most powerful man in the world. He ha\'s built a future from broken bones and faded bruises, never caring who he hurt along the way. But when his mentor falls ill, he finds himself on the verge of losing everything, and he'll stop at nothing to inherit what is rightfully his—even if it means forcing a woman he can't stand into marriage. A valuable advice, you should read the Never After series after revisiting the fairytales it was inspired by.
