Nails also have shards of metal attached from when they were in a nail gun. Avoid running your fingers along with them. You risk receiving metal or wood splinters if you don’t wear gloves! You will make marks on them, and some will splinter. Instead, put the pallet on a flat surface like a floor, and place a piece of wood under the board, just next to the stringer you want to push off.
