I find this overall to be a lotion-y arabian christmas; on my skin is absolutely divine, very mature and sexy BUT there is a gross note in the projection that I cannot put my finger on. As the fragrance slowly transitions into the heart notes, the fragrance starts to get more natural, with touches of sweet accords reminding more of pine and cypress tree sap.

However the issue is that it lasts only 3-4 hours, after that it is very lightly noticeable (I can still smell it on my skin). Season-wise, this is a cold-weather fragrance thought and thought. Because of moderate performance, and heavier statement-making notes, the funky side would become more evident in case of higher temperatures. It is very similar to Florabotanica. Vetiver and rose. Florabotanica has mint, this one has cypress, and it may be a little woodier and more fruity, but they are similar.Personally I'm not really getting any woody or cypress vibes from this one. There's nothing "green" about this one. There must be something wrong with me, because this gives me the impression of a bag of stale cheez-its...with grape jelly. Maybe I tested from a bad bottle, but I see that someone else described it as grainy, and on second thought that's exactly what it is.

Thus, in all time I spent time wearing this fragrance I haven’t received a positive comment, but this one is my best friend’s favorite fragrance of all time. Great leather fragrance. Very bold and masculine, the opening smells just like leather and tyres. I am a woman loving masculine fragrances as this one of my favs. I worked at several big retailers myself and I saw so many cases where a man would come to the store, see the "Pour Femme" label and move on to the mens section to find something for himself, unaware of some real gems that he might love. I have been wearing Gucci Guilty Absolute for six years, and while it was love at first whiff; it is still a favorite of mine: extraordinary, not at all aggressive or unwearable. With that said, I highly doubt anyone would wear Absolute on warmer days of spring and summer where heavy leathery and woody notes might give you or people around you a potential headache.Projection and lasting are not great, but it does give me a scent aura, and I would not mind reapplying this one throughout the day, as it is unoffensive. The perfomance on me is moderate, I would have liked it a little stronger and a little projection too, on the first 30 minutes it radiates quite good, but then goes close to skin pretty fast. Longevity around 7 hours which is good, but it's a skin scent already for me. Guilty is dangerous. No average guy can wear this one. This stuff is truly masterful. My coworker said it reminded her of a funeral or a morgue. To be completely honest, this is a gothic fragrance. It’s tone is uninviting, dark, dry, macabre. people who like Encre Noire will absolutely like this.
