And the front 2x Noctua intake is paramount for a standardized proper methodology, but while it make work good in one case with one GPU, it probably won't in another. Does those seems normal results to you ? (No OC planned but the cooler the longer this build will last) Since you don’t have the option to mount a radiator to the top of the case (remember, that’s where the PSU lives), you’re limited to impractical mounting options for liquid cooling, either in the front of the case or at the bottom. We couldn’t fit our EK 240mm D-RGB AIO in the front since we’re using a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC, which is 12.5 inches (320 mm) long. I even tried mounting the AIO first, then installing the GPU, but that didn’t work either. Our acoustic test consists of three scenarios: We run the CPU at full load, the CPU and GPU at full load and an optimized idle. The CPU full load test runs the CPU and case fans at their maximum speed. For the CPU and GPU full load acoustic test, we also stress the Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC and set the fans at 75% speed, because in gaming the fans never run at 100% and are far too loud when they do.

Torrent Nano — Fractal Design

i have a problem with this guess. the augment here is the o11 XL vs the torrent and gpu temps. both case intake from the bottom but the 011xl the front intake as to do a 90 degree well the torrent dose not have to do that so...the torrent should win the cpu cooling test.Specifically what that means, is a problem with the GamersNexus test is that it's only valid with the same CPU cooler + Case combination they're doing. A different Cooler with different amount of fans and speed is gonna behave differently and produce different heat vortices around the CPU heatsink itself and the GPU.

Since we reviewed the original Fractal Torrent last year we have included our results from that case as well as the new Compact model, in part because we don’t yet have any other results from our new test rig. But since the original Torrent was tested on our previous testbed (with an Intel Core i9-9900K and an RTX 2070 Super), not our new i7/ RTX 3070 Ti setup, this isn’t meant as a direct comparison.Like the company’s original Ion Platinum series (which we reviewed here), Fractal’s new Ion 2 Platinum lineup ships with 560W, 660W, 760W and 860W models and features ultra-bendable UltraFlex cables. These extra bendable cables are designed to simplify cable management, making Fractal’s latest PSUs incredibly easy to use across a broad range of cases/enclosures. I won’t quite say that I have grown tired of companies taking the safe route by slapping a fine mesh front panel on cases. But I admire creativity, which is what Fractal has brought to airflow-focused cases. Not only does the front panel look good, but it also performs really well, without even adding an exhaust fan. What is up with o11 XL being so much better than torrent even tho they have the same gpu cooling system (3 fans at the bottom)? Like your current setup, I only have 2 140mm fans at the bottom, as the tubes/hoses from the AIO and the radiator is obstructing the last slot. But yeah too many fans in general, and too many bottom fans with weak static pressure is not ideal and messes with the airflow.

Fractal Design Torrent Compact Black - Solid side panel

either put the 38mm depth radiator inside the 140mm fans panel (in front of the radiator at the right of the last picture), It seems appropriate to plug the AIO fan into the AIO fan header of your MoBo but there is a single AIO cable to manage both the pump and the radiator fans, I think Arctic (AIO builder) recommends using the CPU fan header. For cooling, the Fractal Torrent ships with two front-mounted 180mm intake fans and three bottom-mounted 140mm intake fans. That’s five large fans for airflow, which is a big deal for anyone that’s investing in air cooling. the Cooler Master MasterCase SL600M being the king when it comes to gpu air flow as you get 2 massive fans blowing on the gpu. but dose vary pore with a cpu tower cooler and the top is closed off mostly... so an top aio would be ideal in that case and passably mod the top panel.

Bad Move, Microsoft...

The Fractal Design Torrent Case is an interesting case and I can see a lot of potentials as far as Modding goes. What I see here is a large case that has removable panels on each side with clear tempered glass on the side. The bottom front and top bezels of this case are all made from the same ABS plastic material. The finish of the plastic is not smooth but rather matte. Being white, everything that touches this case will leave a mark. So if you plan to use this case for Modding I would recommend painting it or at least clear coating the bezels. If you are extremely careful with the case then you would not have to worry about blemishes or marks. The CPU tests also were in the top 1%, if not chart topping (In the case of the blender CPU Render test) of all the metrics as well.
