About this deal

Activation Force - measured in grams (g) and represents the force that needs to be applied to activate the switch. A lower number gives the keyboard a lighter feel; however, you may find that these switches are activated too easily. The higher the number the harder the keys will feel. A gamer or typist prefers a balance as too high an activation force can result in finger fatigue over time. The Kailh Blue is non-RGB and is not as good as switches from Cherry or Gateron and has a slightly scratchy feel. I recommend the Kailh Box White instead. If there is any liquid or food residue on the switch, use a gentle cleaning solution (such as isopropyl alcohol) to clean it off. Be sure to dry the switch off thoroughly afterwards. Whilst these have a lower sound they also have a lower tactile bump which is disappointing. They feel similar to the Gateron Brown that also has a low tactile feel.

Kailh Box Jade Switch Review - Overclockers Club

Plus, they are quiet enough that I can type without disturbing others. Overall, I would highly recommend Kailh Box Jade switches to anyone looking for an amazing typing experience! Gaming experience I built in my Kona Classic that I got from a group buy earlier in the year. This board is designed by u/AuthenticDanger and was really fun to build and has tons of layout options which I was keen on at the time. IP stands for Ingress Protection, with the IP rating number being split into 2 digits, with the first digit representing the solid protection and the second digit the liquid protection.Even though they have a smooth feel and a nice tactile bump, they do not sound as good as either the Box White or Box Jade and have a slightly rattly metallic sound. Kailh Box Jade Switches are a brand of keyboard switch that originated in China. The company was founded in 2004, and originally produced Cherry MX clones. Kailh Box Jade Switches are now a subsidiary of Kailh, which also produces Cherry MX switches. The Kailh Red is not as good as either the Cherry MX or Gateron with a slightly scratchy feel. The Kailh Box Red is a smoother switch.

For the statistics, without amplification and using the recording microphone my voice peaked at -10.508 dB while my typing peaked at -36.793 dB, without RNNoise enabled. With RNNoise enabled the peak was -16.356 dB and the typing was -36.793 dB. With the contrast tool, without RNNoise enabled my voice was at -36.85 RMS dB and my typing at -53.07 RMS dB for a difference of 16.22 RMS dB. With RNNoise enabled, my voice was at -42.92 RMS dB, my typing at -78.58 RMS dB, for a difference of 35.65 RMS dB, which is huge. Decibels are a logarithmic unit, not a linear one, so the actual difference here is far more than half. Even though they are called blue, the stem is a dark grey colour. I guess Kailh are running out of names considering they have released so many switches! Keeping to their name, they have a very heavy activation and bottom-out force. I found these too heavy for fast typing.I like the switches, even if they make my hands tired after any heavy use. They are extremely tactile and are fun to type on. I am definitely keeping these on my Kona as my daily driver (and if you all like this post maybe I'll make another about my long term impression of the switch after I've had more time with it). The Kailh Box Jade Switch has a reputation for being very smooth and having a quiet operation. They are often compared to the Cherry MX Brown switch, which is also known for its smooth feel and quiet operation. These are the most basic Kailh switches and closely resemble the corresponding Cherry MX or Gateron switches. I would recommend you look beyond these in favour of the Kailh Box switches. The box design offers a smoother feel with less keycap wobble due to the design of the stem. Kailh, or officially Dongguan Kaihua Electronics was founded in 1990. They specialise in electronic and electric switches. Whilst Kailh do manufacture clones of the original Cherry MX design, they have also developed several unique designs themselves, such as with their BOX design. Kailh Box Switch Set - Keychron UK

Cherry MX Blues are considered the standard for gaming keyboards. They offer a slightly slower keypress than Kailh Box Jade Switches, but many people find this to be an advantage because it makes it easier to avoid accidental key presses. Additionally, the Corsair STRAFE RGB MK2 is fully programmable so you can create your own custom macros or key bindings. So, how do you choose the right Kailh Box Jade switch? It all depends on what you’re looking for in a keyboard switch. Kailh has many different switch lines, but their Box Jade switches are some of the most popular. These switches have a nice, tactile feel that makes them great for gaming and typing. They also come in several different colors, making them a popular choice for custom builds. Advantages and DisadvantagesSo I must apologize ahead of time, even though I planned on making this post I completely forgot to take any pictures, but without further ado let's get on with the "review." Kailh Box Jades are the current industry standard for mechanical keyboard switches. However, there are alternatives to Kailh Box Jade switches that may be a better fit for your needs. Cherry MX Blues also have a stronger tactile bump than Kailh Box Jade Switches. What to look for when buying? IP40 - This rating covers most Cherry MX switches, with a solid protection rating of 4, meaning protection against solid objects larger than 1mm and a liquid protection rating of 0, meaning no rating or protection. Similar in design to the Cherry MX Silent Red, the switch includes a rubber dampener to reduce noise when they bottom out. Unlike other Box designs, the stem features a circle shape rather than a box. Interesting the stem is a bright pink colour rather than simply a lighter red on the Cherry MX. The design does increase the activations to 80 million.
